Abstract

Abstrak Altruisme umumnya didefinisikan sebagai sikap tolong-menolong kepada orang lain serta tidak berharap imbalan apapun. Seperti yang dilakukan oleh para pengabdi negara, Tentara Nasional Indonesia atau TNI. Altruisme, yang didefinisikan sebagai perilaku yang mengutamakan kepentingan orang lain, beberapa faktor, yaitu faktor situasional dan faktor personal. Adapun faktor situasional dibagi menjadi enam yaitu kehadiran orang lain (bystander), daya tarik, atribusi terhadap korban, adanya model, desakan waktu dan sifat kebutuhan korban, sedangkan faktor personal dibagi menjadi lima yaitu suasana hati (mood), sifat, jenis kelamin, tempat tinggal, dan pola asuh. Budaya kolektivisme yang kuat dalam lingkungan militer diharapkan dapat mendorong perilaku altruisme, sementara kepribadian agreeableness yang ditandai dengan sifat ramah dan peduli juga diprediksi akan berkontribusi pada tindakan altruisme. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu penelitian kuantitatif. Subyek penelitian ini adalah Prajurit TNI AD yang berdinas di Batalyon Infanteri 143/Tri Wira Eka Jaya atau Yonif 143/TWEJ. Sampel penelitian dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan teknik analisis regresi berganda. Berdasarkan temuan penelitian terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara perilaku altruisme prajurit TNI AD dengan tingkat kolektivisme dan kepribadian agreeableness sebesar 65.10% (R2 = 0.651). Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi tingkat kolektivisme dan agreeableness yang dimiliki oleh seorang prajurit, maka semakin tinggi pula kecenderungannya untuk menunjukkan perilaku altruisme. Nilai reliabilitas sebesar 0.807 menunjukkan bahwa instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini cukup reliabel dan dapat diandalkan untuk mengukur variabel variabel penelitian. Kata Kunci: altruisme; kolektivisme; kepribadian agreeableness; TNI AD. Abstract Altruism is generally defined as helping others and not expecting anything in return. As is done by state servants, the Indonesian National Army or TNI. Altruism, which is defined as behavior that puts the interests of others first, has several factors, namely situational factors and personal factors. The situational factors are divided into six, namely the presence of others (bystanders), attractiveness, attribution to the victim, the presence of a model, time pressure and the nature of the victim's needs, while personal factors are divided into five, namely mood, nature, gender, place of residence, and parenting. A strong culture of collectivism in the military environment is expected to encourage altruistic behavior, while agreeableness personality characterized by friendly and caring traits is also predicted to contribute to acts of altruism. The research method used in this study is quantitative research. The subjects of this study were Army Soldiers who served in the 143/Tri Wira Eka Jaya Infantry Battalion or Yonif 143/TWEJ. The research sample was collected using purposive sampling technique. Data analysis was carried out using multiple regression analysis techniques. Based on the research findings, there is a significant relationship between the altruism behavior of Indonesian Army soldiers and the level of collectivism and agreeableness personality by 65.10% (R2 = 0.651). The results of the analysis show that the higher the level of collectivism and agreeableness possessed by a soldier, the higher the tendency to show altruism behavior. The reliability value of 0.807 indicates that the instrument used in this study is quite reliable and reliable for measuring research variables.
