Abstract

ABSTRAK Mahasiswa yang sedang mengerjakan tugas akhir memiliki beberapa kendala serta hambatan salah satunya yaitu rendahnya motivasi dalam diri atau yang dikenal sebagai task commitment. Faktor faktor yang dapat memengaruhi task commitment yaitu konsep diri dan dukungan sosial orang tua. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan antara konsep diri dan dukungan sosial dengan task commitment pada mahasiswa yang sedang menyusun skripsi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan teknik sampling propotional sampling dengan sampel penelitian sebanyak 73 mahasiswa/I. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan tiga skala, yaitu skala task commitment (α = 0.866), skala konsep diri (α = 0.896), dan skala dukungan sosial orang tua (α = 0.948). Teknik analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis regresi berganda menggunakan bantuan software SPSS 22. Hasil analisis uji hipotesis pertama menunjukkan bahwa konsep diri dan dukungan sosial orang tua secara bersama-sama memiliki hubungan positif yang signifikan terhadap task commitment, mendapatkan hasil nilai R = 0.561 dan nilai F = 16.075 dengan sumbangan efektif kedua variabel bebas sebesar 31,5%. Uji hipotesis kedua terdapat hubungan positif signifikan antara konsep diri dengan task commitment, konsep diri memberikan sumbangan efektif sebesar 14,6% terhadap task commitment dengan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0.501. Uji hipotesis ketiga terdapat hubungan positif signifikan antara dukungan sosial orang tua dengan task commitment, dukungan sosial orang tua memberikan sumbangan efektif sebesar 16.9% terhadap variabel task commitment dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0.515. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semua hipotesis dapat diterima, maka dapat disimpulkan terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara konsep diri dan dukungan sosial orang tua dengan task commitment pada mahasiswa yang sedang menyusun skripsi. ABSTRACT Students who are working on their final assignments have several obstacels and barries, one of which is low motivation within themselves or what is known as task commitment. Factors that can influence task commitment are self-concept and parental social support. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between self-concept and social support with task commitment in students who are writing their thesis. This research is a quantitative research with a proportional sampling technique with a research sample of 73 students. The data collection method uses three scales, namely the task commitment scale (α = 0.866), the self-concept scale (α = 0.896), and the parental social support scale (α = 0.948). The analysis technique used in this research is multiple regression analysis using SPSS 22 software. The results of the analysis of the first hypothesis test show that self-concept and parental social support together have a significant positive relationship with task commitment, resulting in an R value of 0.561 and an F value of 16.075 with a significance level of p = 0.000 and an effective contribution of the two independent variables amounting to 31.5%. Testing the second hypothesis, there is a significant positive relationship between self-concept and task commitment, the self-concept variable makes an effective contribution of 14.6% to task commitment with a correlation coefficient of 0.501. Testing the third hypothesis, there is a significant positive relationship between parental social support and task commitment. The parental social support variable provides an effective contribution of 16.9% to the task commitment variable with a correlation coefficient of 0.515.
