Abstract

ABSTRAK Kemampuan berpikir kritis merupakan salah satu kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi. Tantangan dalam dunia pendidikan yaitu menuntut siswa untuk berpikir berpikir tingkat tinggi (HOTs). Namun, terdapat beberapa penelitian yang menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa masih dalam kategori rendah. Perlu dilakukannya kegiatan pembelajaran yang dapat melatih keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa, salah satunya melalui penerapan model Problem-based learning (PBL). Banyak penelitian yang membahas tentang model Problem based learning untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan meta-analisis tentang model Problem-based learning terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode penelitian berupa meta-analisis. Penelitian literature review ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan pengaruh positif dari model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) Tujuan penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui nilai effect size pada model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa SMA yang ditinjau dari jurnal nasional melalui database terindeks sinta 1-5 materi biologi. Hasil penelitian ini adalah 1) penggunaan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dapat memberikan pengaruh positif dalam pembelajaran biologi dan mampu meningkatkan pengaruh terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa sebesar 0,692 dengan kategori efek tinggi. Hasil signifikasi membuktikan bahwa model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning memiliki kontribusi terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa SMA secara keseluruhan. 2) Berdasarkan hasil meta analasis menggunakan OpenMEE terdapat nilai effect size pada model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa SMA sebesar 0,692. However, there are several studies that show that students' critical thinking abilities are still in the low category. It is necessary to carry out learning activities that can train students' critical thinking skills, one of which is through the application of the Problem-based learning (PBL) model. Many studies discuss the problem-based learning model to improve students' critical thinking skills. This research is a meta-analysis of the problem-based learning model on students' critical thinking skills. The type of research used is quantitative research with research methods in the form of meta-analysis. This literature review research aims to prove the positive influence of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model. The aim of this research was to determine the effect size value of the Problem Based Learning learning model on high school students' critical thinking abilities as reviewed from national journals using the Sinta 1-indexed database. 5 biology materials. The results of this research are 1) the use of the Problem Based Learning learning model can have a positive influence on biology learning and can increase the influence on students' critical thinking abilities by 0.692 in the medium category. The significant results prove that the Problem Based Learning learning model has a contribution to the critical thinking abilities of high school students as a whole. 2) Based on the results of meta analysis using OpenMEE, there is an effect size value for the Problem Based Learning learning model on high school students' critical thinking abilities of 0.692.
