Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh suku bunga, nilai tukar dan jumlah uang beredar terhadap inflasi di negara ASEAN selama periode tahun 2018-2022 yang ditinjau dalam perspektif ekonomi Islam. Selama 5 tahun tersebut inflasi di ASEAN mengalami fluktuasi namun serentak mengalami kenaikan pada tahun 2021 ke tahun 2022 yang disebabkan oleh kenaikan harga dunia akibat perang Rusia – Ukraina. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini antara lain teori kuantitas uang oleh Irving Fisher dan teori inflasi perspektif Islam oleh M. Umer Chapra. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan menggunakan data sekunder yang berjenis data panel. Variabel bebas (X) yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu suku bunga, nilai tukar dan jumlah uang beredar, sedangkan variabel terikat (Y) adalah inflasi. Populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 55 dengan objek penelitian di 11 negara ASEAN selama 5 tahun (2018 – 2022). Pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode purposive sampling dengan pertimbangan objek yang masuk negara ASEAN rentang tahun 2018 – 2022, yaitu hanya 10 negara. Analisis data menggunakan analisis regresi data panel yang diolah menggunakan E-Views 13. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa variabel suku bunga tidak berpengaruh terhadap inflasi, variabel nilai tukar berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap inflasi, serta variabel jumlah uang beredar berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap inflasi. Secara simultan, variabel suku bunga, nilai tukar dan jumlah uang beredar berpengaruh terhadap inflasi di ASEAN tahun 2018 – 2022. Perspektif ekonomi Islam mengenai solusi inflasi menurut M. Umer Chapra adalah menjaga keseimbangan permintaan & penawaran, menjaga stabilitas harga, pengelolaan uang beredar dengan bijak, partisipasi masyarakat dalam pengambilan kebijakan dan pelarangan riba. ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze the effect of interest rates, exchange rates and money supply on inflation in ASEAN countries during the period 2018-2022 which is reviewed from an Islamic economic perspective. During the 5 years, inflation in ASEAN fluctuated but simultaneously increased in 2021 to 2022 which was caused by the increase in world prices due to the Russia-Ukraine war. The theories used in this study include the quantity theory of money by Irving Fisher and the Islamic perspective inflation theory by M. Umer Chapra. This study uses a quantitative method using secondary data of the panel data type. The independent variables (X) used in this study are interest rates, exchange rates and money supply, while the dependent variable (Y) is inflation. The population in this study was 55 with research objects in 11 ASEAN countries for 5 years (2018 - 2022). Sampling used the purposive sampling method with the consideration that the objects included in ASEAN countries in the period 2018 - 2022, namely only 10 countries. Data analysis using panel data regression analysis processed using E-Views 13. The results of this study indicate that the interest rate variable has no effect on inflation, the exchange rate variable has a positive and significant effect on inflation, and the money supply variable has a negative and significant effect on inflation. Simultaneously, the interest rate, exchange rate and money supply variables affect inflation in ASEAN in 2018 - 2022. The Islamic economic perspective on inflation solutions according to M. Umer Chapra is maintaining a balance between demand and supply, maintaining price stability, managing money supply wisely, public participation in policy making and prohibiting usury.
