Abstract

ABSTRAK PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN DISCOVERY LEARNING TERINTEGRASI JELAJAH ALAM SEKITAR TERHADAP KETERAMPILAN PROSES SAINS SISWA Keterampilan proses sains merupakan hal yang sangat penting dalam ilmu biologi, karena biologi merupakan cabang dari sains itu sendiri. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh temuan permasalahan rendahnya keterampilan proses sains siswa berdasarkan hasil prapenelitian yang diperoleh yang disebabkan oleh kurang aktifnya siswa serta pemilihan model pebelajaran yang kurang variatif. Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui ada atau tidak ada pengaruh model pembelajaran Discovery Learning terintegrasi jelajah alam sekitar terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Quasy Eperiment dengan menggunakan desain Pretest Posttest control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian yaitu seluruh siswa kelas VII di MTs Assyifa Karang Sari Lampung Selatan, Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik cluster random sampling, dan diperoleh sampel penelitian yaitu kelas VII A (kelas eksperiment) dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning terintegrasi jelajah alam sekitar dan kelas VII B (kelas control) dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran Direct Instruction. Pengambilan data menggunakan tes keterampilan proses sains. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data yang diperoleh dari uji hipotesis H0 ditolak dan Hα diterima, hasil uji Mann Whitney dengan α= 0,05, diperoleh hasil keterampilan proses sains 0,006 < 0,05. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil penelitian terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran Discovery Learning terintegrasi jelajah alam sekitar terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa. Kata Kunci : Jelajah Alam Sekitar, Keterampilan Proses Sains, Model Pembelajaran Discovery Learning iv ABSTRACT THE INLUENCE OF THE DISCOVERY LEARNING MODEL INTEGRATED WITH SURROUNDING NATURE EXPLORATION APPROACH ON STUDENTS EXPERIENCE PROCESS SKILLS Science process skills are very important in the field of biology, because biology is a branch of science itself. This research was motivated by the discovery of the problem of low science procces skills of students based on the result of the preresearch obtained which were caused by the lack of student activity and the selection of learning models that were less varied. The purpose of this research is to determine whether or not there is an influence of the Discovery Learning model integrated with exploring the surrounding nature on students‟ science process skills. The research metod used is Quasy experimental using a peretest Posttest control group design. The population in this research was all students of class VII at MTs Assyifa Karang Sari South Lampung. Sampling was carried out using the cluster random sampling technique and the research sample obtained was class VIIA (experimental class) by implementing the Discovery Learning integrated nature eploration model and class VIIB (control class) by implementing the Direct Instruction learning model. Data collection using a science process skills test. Based on the result of data analysis obtained from the hypothesis test H0 is rejected and Hα is accepted, the result of the Mann Whitney test with α= 0,05, the result of the science procces skills are 0,006 < 0,05. So it can be concluded that the research result have an effect on the Discovery Learning model integrated with surrounding nature exploration approach on student‟s science process skills.
