Abstract

ABSTRACT The objectives of this research were to know the implementation of Think, Talk, Write (TTW) and improvement in Writing Skills of Class X Students at SMA N 1 Abung Tinggi. This research was applied using the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method. This action research consists of four basic steps in a cycle of research namely planning, acting, observing and reflecting. The subject of this research was the students tenth class which consisted of 34. This research was done in three cycles and three meetings on each cycle namely cycle I, cycle II and cycle II. The instruments of this research were lesson plan, writing descriptive test and documentation. The data were analyzed in qualitative and quantitative. Based on the findings of research, it showed that the implementation of the Think, Talk, and Write (TTW) technique led to significant improvements in students' writing abilities over the course of the cycles. The more effectively the Think, Talk, and Write (TTW) technique is implemented, the greater the improvement in students' writing skills. As the technique progresses through its stages thinking, talking, and writing it encourages greater student engagement, improve motivation, and enhances understanding of writing components such as vocabulary, grammar, and content organization Keywords: Descriptive Text, Think, Talk, Write (TTW), Writing Skill.
