Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya memahami faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kesempatan kerja di pulau Sumatera, khususnya upah minimum provinsi, investasi dan tingkat pendidikan dari perspektif ekonomi Islam. Kesempatan kerja dianggap penting karena akan berpengaruh terhadap pencapaian ekonomi. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk menganalisis pengaruh upah minimum provinsi, investasi dan tingkat pendidikan terhadap kesempatan kerja di pulau Sumatera selama periode 2019-2023 dalam perspektif ekonomi Islam. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif menggunakan data sekunder dengan teknik purposive sampling. Penelitian ini mencakup 10 provinsi yang ada di pulau Sumatera dengan menganalisis data kesempatan kerja, upah minimum provinsi, investasi dan tingkat pendidikan selama 5 tahun terakhir, adapun data yang diperoleh dari badan pusat statistik. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah regresi data panel dengan estimasi fixed effect model (FEM), serta menggunakan uji koefisien determinasi, uji f dengan tingkat signifikan 5% serta menggunakan uji hipotesis t secara parsial, kemudian dalam pengolahan data menggunakan aplikasi E-Views10 dengan bantuan Microsoft Excel. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa upah minimum provinsi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kesempatan kerja, variabel investasi berpengaruh negatif dan tidak signifikan terhadap kesempatan kerja, variabel tingkat pendidikan berpengaruh positif dan tidak signifikan terhadap kesempatan kerja. Kerja dan tenaga kerja dalam islam menjadi kewajiban umat yang mampu untuk mencapai sebuah kesuksesan bahkan memiliki kemuliaan tersendiri seperti yang tertulis didalam Al-Quran dalam surah Al-Najm ayat 39 “dan bahwasannya seorang manusia tiada memperoleh selain apa yang telah diusahakannya”. ABSTRACT This study is motivated by the importance of understanding the factors that influence employment opportunities on the island of Sumatra, especially in the provincial minimum wage, investment and education level from an Islamic economic perspective. Employment opportunities are important because they will affect economic achievement. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of provincial minimum wages, investment and education levels on employment opportunities on the Sumatra Island during the period 2019-2023 from an Islamic economic perspective. The research method used is quantitative using secondary data with purposive sampling techniques. This study covers 10 provinces on the Sumatra island by analyzing data on employment opportunities, provincial minimum wages, investment and education levels for the last 5 years, the data obtained from the central statistics agency. The analysis technique used is panel data regression with fixed effect model (FEM) estimation, and using the coefficient of determination test, f test with a significant level of 5% and using the partial t hypothesis test, then in data processing using the E-Views10 application with the help of Microsoft Excel. The results of the study show that the provincial minimum wage has a positive and significant effect on employment opportunities, the investment variable has a negative and insignificant effect on employment opportunities, the education level variable has a positive and insignificant effect on employment opportunities. Work and labor in Islam are the obligations of people who are able to achieve success and even have their own glory as written in the Qur'an in Surah Al-Najm verse 39 "And the human has nothing but what he has worked for."
