Abstract

ABSTRAK Komunikasi merupakan hal penting dalam kehidupan karena menjadi kebutuhan manusia dalam pertukaran infromasi dari komunikator ke komunikan. Gaya komunikasi merupakan cara atau pola yang menjadi ciri khas dalam proses komunikasi. Sebagai mahasiswa sudah selayaknya menggunakan gaya komunikasi yang baik terlebih sebagai mahasiswa yang menempuh Pendidikan di Universitas yang berbasis Islam. Hal tersebut karena Islam memiliki prinsip-prinsip komunikasi yang berlandaskan pada Al-Qur’an, sehingga tidak selayaknya sebagai mahasiswa memiliki gaya komunikasi yang kurang pantas saat berada di lingkungan kampus. Penulis meneliti gaya komunikasi mahasiswa KPI dalam perspektif komunikasi islam adapu tujuan dari peneliian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gaya komunikasi mahasiswa KPI dalam perspektif komunikasi islam yakni prinsip komunikasi islam. Untuk mendapatkan data-data yang diperlukan dalam penelitian, penulis menggunakan metodologi penelitian kualitatif,dengan jenis penelitian lapangan (field research) dan bersifat deskriptif. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik pusposive sampling dimana yang menjadi sampel berjumlah 5 orang mahasiswa angkatan 2019. Adapun metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah metode observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Dari hasil penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa mahasiswa KPI dari Universitas Islam Negeri Raden Intan Lampung masing-masing memiliki ciri khas atau gaya dalam berkomunikasi seperti menggunakan gaya komunikasi agresif, pasif, dan juga asertif. Namun jika di nilai dalam perspektif komunikasi islam, gaya komunikasi mahasiswa KPI yang sesuai adalah gaya komunikasi pasif dan asertif, karena gaya komunikasi ini memiliki keselarasan dengan prinsip-prinsip komunikasi islam seperti berkata dengan sopan, lemah lemah lembut tapi tegas, serta menghargai dan menghormati orang lain, berbanding terbaik dengan gaya komunikasi agresif yang cenderung keras dan tidak memikirkan perasaan orang lain atau komunikannya. Dalam perspektif islam gaya komunikasi pasif baik karena ia tidak akan terlalu merespon jika berada disituasi yang membuat nya kesal, karena dalam islam akan lebih baik diam dan sabar apabila tidak perlu untuk bicara, sedangkan gaya komunikasi asertif adalah gaya komunikasi yang efektif bersifat terbuka, tegas, dan tetap menghormati orang lain dilakukan mahasiswa. Kata Kunci: Gaya Komunikasi, Komunikasi Islam. ABSTRACT Communication is an important thing in life becauseit is a human need to exchange information from communicator to communicant. Communication style is a way or pattern that is characteristic of the communication process. As a student, you should use a good communications style especially as a student studying at an islamic university. This is because islam has communication principles that are based on the koran, so it is not appropriate for student have inappropriate communiction styles when on campus.The author examines the communication style of KPI students from an Islamic communication perspective. The aim of this research is to determine the communication style of KPI students from an Islamic communication perspective, namely the principles of Islamic communication. The research used by the author is qualitative research, namely field research. This research used a purposive sampling technique where the sample consisted of 5 students from the class of 2019. The data collection methods used were observation, interviews and documentation. Based on research regarding the communication style of KPI students from an Islamic communication perspective, it was concluded that the communication style of KPI students that is in accordance with the Islamic communication perspective is a passive and assertive communication style, because this communication style is in harmony with the principles of Islamic communication such as speaking politely, being gentle and gentle. but being firm, and appreciating and respecting other people, compares best with an aggressive communication style that tends to be harsh and does not think about other people's feelings or communication. In the Islamic perspective, a passive communication style is good because he will not respond too much if he is in a situation that upsets him, because in Islam it is better to be silent and patient if there is no need to talk, while an assertive communication style is an effective communication style that is open, firm, and students still respect other people.
