Abstract

ABSTRAK Rayap dikenal sebagai serangga pemakan kayu atau bahan yang mengandung selulosa bersifat merugikan. Namun rayap memiliki keuntungan seperti penguraian sampah organik dan modifikasi karakteristik kimia tanah. penanggulangan rayap tanah dapat dilakukan dengan menggunakan bahan alami yang ramah lingkungan seperti ekstrak biji jarak pagar dan ekstrak daun belimbing wuluh. Ekstrak biji jarak pagar dan Ekstrak Daun belimbing wuluh mengandung senyawa Flavonoid,Terpenoid, Fenol, Tanin, Saponin, Steroid yang dapat mematikan serangga dan berpotensi sebagai insektisida alami pembasmi Rayap Tanah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas kombinasi ekstrak biji jarak pagar dan ekstrak daun belimbing wuluh terhadap mortalitas Rayap tanah dan konsentrasi yang optimum. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu kuantitatif dengan rancangan acak lengkap 5 perlakuan dan 3 pengulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi ekstrak biji jarak pagar dan ekstrak daun belimbing wuluh efektif terhadap mortalitas kutu rambut karena senyawa Flavonoid, Terpenoid, Fenol, Tanin, Saponin, Steroid merupakan senyawa kimia utama sebagai racun kontak, racun perut serta racun saraf. Maka dari itu dapat disimpulkan bahwa kombinasi ekstrak biji jarak pagar dan ekstrak daun belimbing wuluh efektif terhadap mortalitas Rayap tanah dan konsentrasi ekstrak yang paling optimum yaitu 12% hal tersebut dapat terjadi karena kandungan senyawa metabolit sekunder yang semakin tinggi. However, termites have advantages such as decomposing organic waste and modifying the chemical characteristics of the soil. Termite control can be done using environmentally friendly natural materials such as castor oil seed extract and starfruit leaf extract. Jatropha seed extract and starfruit leaf extract contain Flavonoid, Terpenoid, Phenol, Tannin, Saponin, Steroid compounds that can kill insects and have the potential as natural insecticides to eradicate Termites. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the combination of castor oil seed extract and starfruit leaf extract on the mortality of Termites and the optimum concentration. The type of research used is quantitative with a completely randomized design of 5 treatments and 3 repetitions. The results showed that the combination of castor oil seed extract and starfruit leaf extract was effective against the mortality of head lice because Flavonoid, Terpenoid, Phenol, Tannin, Saponin, Steroid compounds are the main chemical compounds as contact poisons, stomach poisons and nerve poisons. Therefore, it can be concluded that the combination of Jatropha seed extract and starfruit leaf extract is effective against subterranean termite mortality and the most optimum extract concentration is 12%, this can occur due to the increasingly high content of secondary metabolite compounds.
