Abstract

ABSTRAK Salah satu tujuan yang ingin dicapai dalam pembelajaran IPA adalah kemampuan pemahaman konsep IPA yang baik. Materi-materi pada mata pelajaran IPA sangatlah berkaitan, untuk mempelajari materi, siswa dituntut untuk memiliki pemahaman mengenai materi sebelumnya, atau materi yang sedang dipelajari. Berdasarkan pada pra penelitian hasil wawancara yang sudah dilaksanakan bersama guru kelas kelas V MIN 6 Bandar Lampung, diperoleh keterangan bahwa kurangnya minat pada mata pelajaran IPA, yang berdampak pada kurangnya pemahaman konsep IPA, juga kurangnya penggunaan beberapa macam metode atau model pembelajaran yang bervariasi. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, maka penulis menawarkan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning dengan berbantuan Media Interaktif Google Sites untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep peserta didik. Model pembelajaran discovery learning adalah model pembelajaran yang tepat untuk digunakan dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep terutama pada mata pelajaran IPA. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning berbantuan media interaktif google sites terhadap pemahaman konsep IPA peserta didik kelas V di MIN 6 Bandar Lampung. Pendekatan penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif metode eksperimen jenis Quasi Eksperimenta. Desain yang digunakan yaitu Nonequaivalent posttest-Only Control Group Designns, Dengan populasi seluruh kelas V MIN 6 Bandar Lampung berjumlah 144 peserta didik berasal dari kelas V A – V E, Dengan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan Simple Random Sampling. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas V D yang berjumlah 28 peserta didik sebagai kelas control, menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung, dan kelas V E iv dengan jumlah 30 peserta didik sebagai kelas eksperimen, yang menggunakan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning, dengan berbantuan media interaktif google sites. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, tes yang berbentuk uraian atau essay, dan dokumentasi, Sebelum melakukan penelitian instrumen harus tes uji coba dan dihitung validitas, reliabilitas, Kemudian uji hipotesis penelitian menggunakan uji t, sebelum dilakukan uji t data di uji prasyarat analisisnya terlebih dahulu yaitu dengan menggunakan uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas. Berdasarkan hasil analisis pengolahan data nilai menggunakan hipotesis, diperoleh hasil nilai sig (2-tailed), 0,001 lebih kecil dari 0,05. Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis tersebut, maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima, Sehingga hasil uji t tersebut dapat dinyatakan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran Discovery Learning berbantuan media interaktif google sites terhadap pemahaman konsep IPA peserta didik kelas V di MIN 6 Bandar Lampung. Kata kunci: Model Pembelajaran Discovery Learning, Pemaham Konsep IPA v ABSTRAK One of the goals to be achieved in learning science is the ability to understand science concepts well. The materials in science subjects are very related, to learn the material students are required to have an understanding of the previous material or the material being studied. Based on the pre-research results of interviews that have been carried out with the fifth grade class teacher of MIN 6 Bandar Lampung, it is found that the lack of interest in science subjects which has an impact on the lack of understanding of science concepts, as well as the lack of use of several kinds of methods or varied learning models. Based on these problems, the author offers a Discovery Learning learning model with the help of Google Sites Interactive Media to improve students' concept understanding. The discovery learning model is the right learning model to use in improving understanding of concepts, especially in science subjects. This study aims to determine the effect of the application of the Discovery Learning learning model assisted by Google Sites interactive media on the understanding of science concepts of grade V students at MIN 6 Bandar Lampung. This research approach is a quantitative approach experimental method of Quasi Eksperimenta type. With the design used, namely Nonequaivalent posttest-Only Control Group Designns. With a population of all class V MIN 6 Bandar Lampung totaling 144 students from class V A - V E. With sampling techniques using Simple Random Sampling. The samples used in this study were class V D, totaling 28 students as a control class using a direct learning model and class V E with 30 students as an experimental class using the Discovery Learning learning model with the help of interactive media google sites. Data collection techniques using observation, tests in the form of vi descriptions or essays, and documentation. Before conducting research, the instrument must be tested and calculated validity, reliability. Then test the research hypothesis using the t test, before the t test is carried out the data is tested for prerequisite analysis first, namely by using the normality test and homogeneity test. Based on the results of data processing analysis, the value using the hypothesis obtained the sig value (2-tailed), 0.001 is smaller than 0.05. Based on the results of the hypothesis test, Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. So that the results of the t test can be stated that there is an effect of the Discovery Learning learning model assisted by interactive media google sites on the understanding of science concepts of fifth grade students at MIN 6 Bandar Lampung.
