Abstract
ABSTRAK Tingkat prevelensi kucing liar di wilayah kelurahan Sukarame, Bandar Lampung menjadi salah satu permasalahan yang perlu diselesaikan, dalam hal ini dengan mengetahui kualitas dan kebersihan setiap kucing liar yang ada di sekitar masyarakat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi ektoparasit pada kucing liar yang ada di Kecamatan Sukarame dan mengetahui tingkat prevalensi dan jenis ektoparasit pada kucing liar di Kecamatan Sukarame. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian survei lapangan dengan pendekatan kualitatif, dalam hal ini peneliti mengumpulkan data secara primer dan sekunder dari 20 sampel kucing liar yang ada di kelurahan Sukarame, Bandar Lampung. Proses analisa dilakukan secara deskriptif dengan mendeskripsikan, mengklasifikasikan dan menarik kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil analisa ditemukan bahwa hasil identifikasi ektoparasit pada kucing liar yang ada di Kecamatan Sukarame menunjukkan bahwa seluruh sampel yang diperiksa terinfeksi oleh Ctenocephalides felis. Tidak ditemukan jenis ektoparasit lain seperti tungau atau Felicola subrostratus dalam penelitian ini. Mengetahui tingkat prevalensi dan jenis ektoparasit pada kucing liar di Kecamatan Sukarame, Ctenocephalides felis memiliki prevalensi 100% pada kucing liar di Kecamatan Sukarame, sementara tungau dan Felicola subrostratus tidak ditemukan. Ini mengindikasikan bahwa Ctenocephalides felis adalah ektoparasit dominan dan hampir universal di area tersebut. Kata kunci : Identifikasi, Ektoparasit, Kucing Liar iii ABSTRACT The prevalence rate of stray cats in the Sukarme sub�district, Bandar Lampung is one of the problems that need to be resolved, in this case by knowing the quality and cleanliness of each stray cat in the community. The purpose of this study was to identify ectoparasites in stray cats in Sukarame District and to determine the prevalence rate and types of ectoparasites in stray cats in Sukarame District. This study uses a field survey research type with a qualitative approach, in this case the researcher collected primary and secondary data from 20 samples of stray cats in Sukarame sub-district, Bandar Lampung, in the analysis process it was carried out descriptively by describing, classifying and drawing conclusions. Based on the results of the analysis, it was found that the results of the identification of ectoparasites in stray cats in Sukarame District, the identification of ectoparasites in stray cats in Sukarame District showed that all samples examined were infected by Ctenocephalides felis. No other types of ectoparasites such as mites or Felicola subrostratus were found in this study. Knowing the prevalence rate and types of ectoparasites in stray cats in Sukarame District, Ctenocephalides felis has a prevalence of 100% in stray cats in Sukarame District, while mites and Felicola subrostratus were not found. This indicates that Ctenocephalides felis is the dominant and almost universal ectoparasite in the area. Keywords: Identification, Ectoparasites, Stray Cats
