Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi rendahnya aktivitas dan hasil balajar IPA Siswa kelas V di SD Negeri Srimenanti Lampung Timur yang diperoleh berdasarkan hasil ulangan harian siswa. Sebelumnya belum pernah dilakukan penilaian aktivitas belajar siswa dengan observasi dan indikator yang telah ada, mencoba melakukan penelitian dengan mengamati aktivitas berdasarkan indikator yang telah ada dan dapat dilihat bagaimana aktivitas belajar siswa sedangkan hasil belajar pada mata pelajaran IPA siswa pada semester Genap masih dikatakan rendah karena hanya 53,57 % siswa yang mencapai nilai kriteria ketercapaian tujuan pembelajaran yang ditentukan sekolah 75. Proses pembelajaran IPA masih seperti biasa dan pada umumnya yaitu menggunakan metode ceramah, mengerjakan tugas soal dan tanya jawab. Artinya aktivitas siswa yang terjadi masih sedikit, sehingga diperlukan pembelajaran yang dapat melibatkan siswa secara langsung dan menekankan pada kegiatan saling bekerja sama dalam kelompok, hal ini penting karena pengetahuan yang dihasilkan dari pengalaman akan lebih mudah di ingat oleh siswa. Untuk itu sebagai alternatif pemecahan masalah peneliti menerapkan model pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) berbasis pemanfaatan lingkuungan sekitar karena karakteristik pendekatan kontekstual, yaitu adanya kerjasama, saling menunjang, pengalaman nyata, gembira, menyenangkan dan tidak membosankan, belajar dengan bergairah, pembelajaran terintegrasi, menggunakan berbagai sumber, siswa aktif dan kritis, sharing dengan teman, dan guru kreatif. Penerapan pendekatan kontekstual dalam kelas cukup efektif. Berdasarkan alasan tersebut penelitia akan melakukan penelitian Tindakan Kelas dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) berbasis pemanfaatan lingkungan sekitar sebagai upaya meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar peseta didik kelas V SD Negeri Srimenanti Lampung Timur. Penelitian ini bertujuan 1) meningkatkan ativitas belajar siswa kelas V SD Negeri Srimenanti Lampung Timur Tahun Pelajaran 2023/2024. 2) meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa, dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning iv (CTL) berbasis pemanfaatan lingkungan sekitar siswa kelas V SD Negeri Srimenanti Lampung Timur Tahun Pelajaran 2023/2024. Subjek penelitian siswa kelas V SD Negeri Srimenanti Lampung Timur Tahun Pelajaran 2023/2024 yang terdiri dari 28 siswa. Penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang meliputi perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Penelitian ini berlangsung 2 siklus dan setiap siklus terdiri 3 kali pertemuan. Hasil dari penelitian diperoleh peningkatan dari siklus I ke siklus II tentang indikator aktivitas belajar siswa secara umum mengalami peningkatan sebesar 17,86% siklus I ke siklus II hasilnyan yaitu sebesar 82,14% dengan target 80% siswa berkategori baik dalam aktivitasnya. Sedangka untuk hasil belajar telah mencapai kriteria yang diharapkan yaitu persentase yang mencapai nilai kriteria ketercapaian tujuan pembelajaran jumlahnya 80% sedangkan hasilnya 71,42%, untuk peningkatannya sebesar 17,85% pada siklus I dan pada siklus ke II mencapai persentase sebesar 85,71 % siswa yang mencapai nilai kriteria ketercapaian tujuan pembelajaran. Sehingga penelitian yang dilakukan mengakibatkan peningkatan aktivitas maupun hasil belajar melebihi indikator keberhasilan yang ditentukan oleh peneliti yang berarti berhasil. Saran dari peneliti Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) berbasis pemanfaatan lingkungan sekitar dapat diaplikasikan dalam proses pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa. Previously, there had never been an assessment of student learning activities using existing observations and indicators. Trying to do research by observing activities based on existing indicators and it can be seen how student learning activities are, while the learning outcomes in science subjects for students in the Even semester are still said to be low because only 53.57% of students achieved the criteria for achieving learning objectives determined by the school. 75. The science learning process is still as usual and generally uses the lecture method, working on problem assignments and asking questions. This means that there is still little student activity, so learning is needed that can involve students directly and emphasizes collaborative activities in groups, this is important because the knowledge resulting from experience will be easier for students to remember. For this reason, as an alternative problem solving, researchers apply a Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning model based on the use of the surrounding environment because of the characteristics of a contextual approach, namely cooperation, mutual support, real experience, joy, fun and not boring, passionate learning, integrated learning, using various sources, active and critical students, sharing with friends, and creative teachers. The application of a contextual approach in the classroom is quite effective. Based on these reasons, the researcher will conduct Classroom Action research by implementing a Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning model based on the use of the surrounding environment as an effort to increase the activities and learning outcomes of class V students at SD Negeri Srimenanti, East Lampung. This research aims to 1) increase the learning activity of fifth grade students at SD Negeri Srimenanti, East Lampung for the 2023/2024 academic year. 2) improve student learning outcomes, by using a Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning model based on utilizing the environment around fifth grade students at SD vi Negeri Srimenanti, East Lampung for the 2023/2024 academic year. The research subjects were fifth grade students at SD Negeri Srimenanti, East Lampung for the 2023/2024 academic year, consisting of 28 students. This research is Classroom Action Research which includes planning, implementation, observation and reflection. This research lasted 2 cycles and each cycle consisted of 3 meetings. The results of the research showed an increase from cycle I to cycle II regarding student learning activity indicators which generally increased by 17.86% from cycle I to cycle II, the result was 82.14% with a target of 80% of students in the good category in their activities. Meanwhile, the learning outcomes have reached the expected criteria, namely the percentage that reaches the criteria value for achieving learning objectives is 80%, while the results are 71.42%, the increase is 17.85% in the first cycle and in the second cycle the percentage reaches 85.71%. students who achieve the criteria for achieving learning objectives. So that the research carried out resulted in increased activity and learning outcomes exceeding the success indicators determined by the researchers, which means success. Suggestions from Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) researchers based on the use of the surrounding environment can be applied in the learning process to improve student activities and learning outcomes.
