Abstract

ABSTRAK Fear of failure atau ketakutan akan kegagalan merupakan perasaan yang umum dialami oleh banyak individu di berbagai bidang kehidupan, mulai dari pendidikan, karir, hingga hubungan personal. Banyak faktor dapat mempengaruhi fear of failure individu, baik faktor internal ataupun eksternal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara harapan orang tua dan Adversity Quotient dengan fear of failure pada pencari kerja freshgraduat Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah fresh graduate lulusan fakultas ushuludin dan studi agama UIN Raden Intan Lampung yang diwisuda periode 1 dan 2 tahun 2024 menggunakan teknik total sampling untuk mendapatkan sampel, sehingga diperoleh sampel sebanyak 89. Alat ukur yang digunakan terdapat skala Fear of Failure berjumlah 27 aitem (α=0,912), Harapan Orang Tua 24 aitem (α=0,880), dan adversity quotient berjumlah 20 aitem (α=0,903). Berdasarkan hasil analisis data menggunakan analisis regresi berganda dengan software JASP 19.0 for windows, hasil penelitian dapat dilihat dari nilai R = 0,693 dan nilai F = 40.003 dengan signifikansi p<0.001 dan sumbangan efektif sebesar 48,2%, yang berarti ada hubungan yang signifikan antara harapan orang tua dan Adversity Quotient dengan fear of failure pada pencari kerja freshgraduate. Kemudian nilai (rx1-y) 0,502 dan p<0,001, sumbangan efektif sebesar 26,20%, sehingga terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara harapan orang tua dengan fear of failure pada pencari kerja freshgraduate. Nilai (rx2-y) sebesar -0,459 dan p<0,001, sumbangan efektif sebesar 22,03%, sehingga terdapat hubungan negatif dan signifikan antara Adversity Quotient dengan fear of failure pada pencari kerja freshgraduate. ABSTRACT Fear of failure is a common feeling experienced by many individuals in various areas of life, from education, career, to personal relationships. Many factors can influence an individual's fear of failure, both internal and external factors. This research aims to determine the relationship between parental expectations and the Adversity Quotient with the fear of failure in fresh graduate job seekers. The population in this study were fresh graduates of the faculty of ushuludin and religious studies of UIN Raden Intan Lampung who graduated in periods 1 and 2 in 2024, A total sampling technique yielded a sample of 89 participants. The measuring instruments used are the Fear of Failure scale with 27 items (α=0.912), Parental Expectations with 24 items (α=0.880), and the adversity quotient with 20 items (α=0.903). Based on the results of data analysis using multiple regression analysis with JASP 19.0 for windows software, the results of the study can be seen from the R value = 0.693 and F value = 40.003 with a significance of p <0.001 and an effective contribution of 48.2%, which means there is a significant relationship between parental expectations and Adversity Quotient with fear of failure in fresh graduate job seekers. Then the value (rx1-y) 0.502 and p <0.001, the effective contribution of 26.20%, so there is a positive and significant relationship between parental expectations and fear of failure in fresh graduate job seekers. The value (rx2-y) of -0.459 and p <0.001, the effective contribution of 22.03%, so there is a negative and significant relationship between Adversity Quotient and fear of failure in fresh graduate job seekers.
