Abstract

ABSTRACT This research discusses the use of language styles and the meaning contained in the lyrics of the song Bring Me The Horizon on the album That's The Spirit. Type of Approachused in this research is a qualitative descriptive approach. Data obtained in this research in the form of comparative language styles contained in the lyrics of the song Bring Me The Horizon on the album That's The Spirit. The data collection technique in this research is using documentation techniques. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that in the lyrics of the song Bring Me The Horizon in the album That's The Spirit, several comparative language styles were found, namely: a) metaphor, b) personification, c) hyperbole, and d) simile, and the language style that dominates this album is metaphor.
