Abstract
ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to analyze and identify the kinds and meanings of slang used in the film The Metal Lords. Slang Word Used in Movie Script "The Metal Lords" is the study's title. Finding the kinds slang terms and their meanings in The Metal Lord movie script is the study's goal. The script for the movie "The Metal Lords" served as the study's data source. Bloomfield's theories were employed in the investigation. The data are gathered using the documentation method, and they are analyzed using the descriptive qualitative approach. There were fifteen slang terms, either in the form of categories that are examined using the previously given theory. Only two of the four slang categories listed in Bloomfield's theory were present in the screenplay. These are Interjections and Shortened Forms. In the data source, the interjection was the most prevalent. According to Leech's thesis, there are seven different kinds of meaning, but only five of them are meaningful, reflected meaning, and affective meaning.
