Abstract

ABSTRAK Sangat penting bagi peserta didik untuk memiliki kemampuan literasi sains dan sikap ilmiah guna menghadapi abad 21 dan era globalisasi, namun berdasarkan hasil pra penelitian yang telah dilakukan diperoleh hasil bahwa model pembelajaran yang diterapkan belum dapat meningkatkan literasi sains dan sikap ilmiah peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan (1) menganalisis pengaruh model Problem Based Learning dengan Socioscientific Issue terhadap literasi sains peserta didik kelas XI pada mata pelajaran biologi, (2) menganalisis pengaruh model Problem Based Learning dengan Socioscientific Issue terhadap sikap ilmiah peserta didik kelas XI pada mata pelajaran biologi. Materi ajar yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah materi sistem ekskresi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode yang digunakan yaitu Quasy Experimental dengan desain penelitian Pretest-Posttest Control Group. Teknik sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu Cluster Random Sampling. Populasi yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu seluruh peserta didik kelas XI SMA Negeri 2 Kalianda. Sampel penelitian ini terdiri dari dua kelas yaitu kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data literasi sains berupa soal Mulltiple Choice dan lembar angket skala likert untuk sikap ilmiah. Uji hipotesis penelitian menggunakan Independent Sample Test dengan taraf signifikansi sebesar α = 0,05. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai signifikan sebesar 0,000 < α = 0,05 dengan ketentuan H1 diterima dan H0 ditolak. Artinya terdapat pengaruh model Problem Based Learning dengan Socioscientific Issue terhadap literasi sains dan sikap ilmiah. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah (1) terdapat pengaruh model Problem Based Learning dengan Socioscientific Issue terhadap literasi sains peserta didik kelas XI pada mata pelajaran biologi, (2) terdapat pengaruh model Problem Based Learning dengan Socioscientific Issue terhadap sikap ilmiah peserta didik kelas XI pada mata pelajaran biologi. Penelitian ini memiliki kontribusi dalam Penelitian ini memiliki kontribusi dalam upaya membantu meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan sikap ilmiah peserta didik kelas XI SMA. Kata Kunci: Literasi Sains, Model Problem Based Learning, Sikap Ilmiah, Socioscientific Issue. iv ABSTRACT It is very important for students to have the ability of science literacy and scientific attitudes to face the 21st century and the era of globalization, but based on the results of pre-research that has been done obtained the results that the learning model applied has not been able to improve the science literacy and scientific attitudes of students. This study aims to (1) analyze the effect of Problem Based Learning model with Socioscientific Issue on science literacy of grade XI students in biology subjects, (2) analyze the effect of Problem Based Learning model with Socioscientific Issue on scientific attitudes of grade XI students in biology subjects. The teaching material used in this study is excretory system material. This research is a quantitative research with the method used is Quasy Experimental with Pretest-Posttest Control Group research design. The sample technique used in this study was Cluster Random Sampling. The population used in this research is all students of class XI SMA Negeri 2 Kalianda. The sample of this research consisted of two classes, namely experimental class and control class. Data collection technique of science literacy was in the form of Mulltiple Choice questions and Likert scale questionnaire sheet for scientific attitude. The research hypothesis test used Independent Sample Test with a significance level of α = 0.05. Based on the results showed that the significant value of 0.000 < α = 0.05 with the provisions of H1 accepted and H0 rejected. This means that there is an effect of Problem Based Learning model with Socioscientific Issue on science literacy and scientific attitude. The conclusions in this study are (1) there is an effect of Problem Based Learning model with Socioscientific Issue on science literacy of grade XI students in biology subjects, (2) there is an effect of Problem Based Learning model with Socioscientific Issue on scientific attitudes of grade XI students in biology subjects. This study has a contribution in this study has a contribution in an effort to help improve the problem solving skills and scientific attitudes of students in grade XI SMA.
