Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi bahwa rendahnya karakter anak karena dampak globalisasi, dibutuhkannya peran guru dalam membina nilai-nilai karakter anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui korelasi antara sastra anak berjenis legenda, khususnya legenda Ompung Silamponga, dengan nilai-nilai karakter anak kelas III di MIN 7 Lampung Utara. Sastra anak dalam bentuk legenda dipilih karena memiliki potensi besar dalam membentuk dan mengembangkan karakter anak melalui cerita-cerita yang mengandung nilai-nilai moral dan kultural. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik korelasional untuk melihat korelasi antara variabel-variabel yang diteliti. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas III di MIN 7 Lampung Utara, dengan sampel yang dipilih secara (Purposive Sampling). Data dikumpulkan melalui angket dan observasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik statistik korelasi Pearson. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya korelasi positif dan signifikan antara paparan sastra anak berjenis legenda Ompung Silamponga dengan pengembangan nilai-nilai karakter anak, seperti kejujuran, kerja keras, dan rasa tanggung jawab. Berdasarkan hasil analisis regresi pada tabel 4.4 diperoleh nilai thitung sebesar 1.946 dan ttabel sebesar 0.6836 (diperoleh dari tabel=α/2;n-k1 dengan 1.946 > 0.6836. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima, yang artinya Sastra Anak Berjenis Legenda (X) berkorelasi signifikan dengan Nilai-Nilai Karakter Anak (Y), selanjutnya dapat digambarkan bentuk korelasi variabel Sastra Anak Berjenis Legenda pada Nilai-Nilai Karakter Anak dalam bentuk persamaan regresi linear sederhana Y = a+bX adalah: a= angka konstan sebesar 16.756, mempunyai arti jika tidak ada Sastra Anak Berjenis Legenda (X) maka nilai konsisten Nilai-Nilai Karakter Anak Didik (Y) adalah 16.756. sedangkan b = angka koefesien regresi sebesar 0,782, mempunyai arti bahwa setiap penambahan 1% tingkat Sastra Anak Berjenis Legenda (X), maka Nilai-Nilai Karakter Anak Didik (Y) akan meningkat sebesar 0,782, dengan kata lain, semakin baik Sastra Anak Berjenis Legenda maka Nilai-Nilai Karakter Anak Didik akan semakin meningkat. Sehingga persamaan regresinya adalah Y= 16.756+0,782X. Kata kunci: Sastra Anak, Legenda Ompung Silamponga, Nilai Karakter iii ABSTRACT This research is based on the low character of children due to the impact of globalization, requiring the role of teachers in developing children's character values. This research aims to determine the correlation between legendary children's literature, especially the legend of Ompung Silamponga, and the character values of class III children at MIN 7 North Lampung. Children's literature in the form of legends was chosen because it has great potential in shaping and developing children's characters through stories that contain moral and cultural values. This research uses a quantitative approach with correlational techniques to see the correlation between the variables studied. The population in this study were all class III students at MIN 7 North Lampung, with samples selected using purposive sampling. Data was collected through questionnaires and observations, then analyzed using Pearson correlation statistical techniques. The results of the research show that there is a positive and significant correlation between exposure to children's literature in the Ompung Silamponga legend type and the development of children's character values, such as honesty, hard work and a sense of responsibility. Based on the results of the regression analysis in table 4.4, the tcount value is 1.946 and the ttable is 0.6836 (obtained from table=α/2;n-k1 with 1.946 > 0.6836. It can be concluded that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, which means that Children's Literature is a Legend Type (X ) is significantly correlated with Children's Character Values (Y), then it can be described the form of correlation of the Legend Type Children's Literature variable on Children's Character Values in the form of a simple linear regression equation Y = a+bX is: a= a constant number of 16,756, has meaning that if there is no Legend Type Children's Literature (X), the consistent value of Students' Character Values (Y) is 16,756, while b = the regression coefficient number is 0.782, which means that for every 1% increase in the level of Legend Type Children's Literature (X). , then the students' character values (Y) will increase by 0.782, in other words, the better the legendary children's literature, the students' character values will increase.
