Abstract

ABSTRAK Limbah adalah bahan yang sudah tidak berguna lagi serta dapat berdampak negatif dan dapat diolah salah satunya menjadi ekoenzim. Ekoenzim yaitu cairan hasil fermentasi limbah organik yang menghasilkan senyawa berupa enzim-enzim, salah satunya enzim protease. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengisolasi bakteri penghasil protease dari larutan ekoenzim berbahan limbah campuran sayuran dan buah-buahan, dan mengetahui indeks proteolitik dari isolat yang diperoleh. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 9 isolat bakteri dihasilkan dari isolasi larutan ekoenzim berbahan limbah campuran sayuran dan buah-buahan. Berdasarkan uji kualitatif diketahui bahwa 8A adalah isolat bakteri yang memiliki nilai indeks proteolitik tertinggi yakni 5 dan 7B memiliki nilai indeks proteolitik terendah yakni 1,5. Kata kunci: Ekoenzim, Indeks Proteolitik, Isolat Bakteri, Limbah Organik, Protease. iii ABSTRACT Waste is material that is no longer useful and can have a negative impact and can be processed, one of the ways, into ecoenzymes. Ecoenzymes are liquids resulting from fermentation of organic waste which produce compounds in the form of enzymes, one of which is the protease enzyme. The aim of the research was to isolate protease-producing bacteria from ecoenzyme solutions made from mixed vegetable and fruit waste, and determine the proteolytic index of the isolates obtained. This research uses a quantitative approach with descriptive research type. The research results showed that 9 bacterial isolates were produced from the isolation of ecoenzyme solutions made from mixed vegetable and fruit waste. Based on qualitative tests, it is known that 8A is a bacterial isolate that has the highest proteolytic index value, namely 5, and 7B has the lowest proteolytic index value, namely 1.5.
