Abstract

ABSTRAK Pemahaman Konsep Ilmu pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial (IPAS) menjadi salah satu kemampuan yang diharapkan dapat ditumbuhkan dalam pembelajaran Sains itu sendiri. Namun, proses pembelajaran yang terjadi belum bisa memfasilitasi peserta didik untuk mengembangkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep. Berdasarkan hasil prapenelitian pemahaman konsep IPAS peserta didik masih tergolong rendah, peserta didik kurang aktif memperhatikan apa yang pendidik jelaskan dan peserta didik kurang aktif bertanya dalam memahami materi yang kurang dimengerti. Dilihat dari hasil Ujian Akhir semester peserta didik, dimana rata-rata masih banyak yang dibawah standar KKM dan belum tuntas. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut peneliti memberikan solusi penggunaan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning (PJBL) dalam membantu mengembangkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan Metode Kuantitatif, dengan jenis penelitian Eksperimen. Design penelitian yang digunakan adalah Quasi Eksperimental Design, Menggunakan Posstest Only Control Group Design. Responden dalam penelitian ini 50 peserta didik Kelas V SDN 2 Hajimena, Lampung Selatan, Teknik Pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah Tes Pemahaman Konsep IPAS berupa Soal Uraian/Essayartinya Penelitian Menunjukan Bahwa Model Pembelajaran Project Based Learning (PJBL) Memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap pemahaman konsep Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial (IPAS). Berdasarkan hal tersebut, diharapkan pendidik dapat menerapkan pembelajaran model Project Based Learning (PJBL) dengan perencanaan dan pelaksanaan yang lebih baik lagi agar aktivitas belajar peserta didik dapat meningkat. Kata Kunci : Model Project Based Learning, Pemahaman Konsep iii ABSTRACT Understanding the concepts of Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) is one of the abilities that is expected to be developed in science learning itself. However, the learning process that occurs cannot facilitate students to develop the ability to understand concepts. Based on the pre-research results, students' understanding of science and science concepts is still relatively low, students are less active in paying attention to what educators explain and students are less active in asking questions to understand material they don't understand. Judging from the results of students' final semester exams, on average there are still many who are below the KKM standard and have not yet completed them. Based on these problems, researchers provide a solution for using the Project Based Learning (PJBL) learning model to help develop students' conceptual understanding abilities. This research uses quantitative methods, with experimental research type. The research design used is Quasi Experimental Design, Using Posttest Only Control Group Design. The respondents in this study were 50 Class V students at SDN 2 Hajimena, South Lampung. The data collection technique used was the Science and Science Concept Understanding Test in the form of Essay/Essay Questions.the research shows that the model Project Based Learning (PJBL) has a significant influence on understanding the concepts of Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS). Based on this, it is hoped that educators can apply Project Based Learning (PJBL) model learning with better planning and implementation so that students' learning activities can increase.
