Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh miskonsepsi peserta didik pada mata pelajaran biologi materi sistem ekskresi pada manusia yang disebabkan dari faktor internal seperti kemajemukan kecerdasan tiap individu peserta didik, kesulitan mengolah informasi berupa gambar, kebiasaan belajar, minat dan motivasi, juga kesehatan. Sementara pada faktor eksternal dipengaruhi oleh lingkungan keluarga, sosial, juga lingkungan sekolah. Sementara itu metode pembelajaran, media, dan sumber belajar juga merupakan faktor lain yang dapat menyebabkan kesulitan peserta didik dalam belajar biologi. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari pendekatan Science Technology Religion Engineering Arts and Mathematics atau yang disingkat dengan pendekatan STREAM terhadap kecerdasan visual spasial dan kecerdasan spiritual peserta didik kelas XI pada mata pelajaran biologi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu pre eksperimental dengan desain penelitian the one group pretest posttest. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas XI IPA dengan teknik pengambilan sample cluster random sampling dan sampel penelitian sebanyak 3 kelas yakni XI IPA 4, XI IPA 2 dan XI IPA 5. Alat untuk mengumpulkan data berupa essay dan angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan jika adanya pengaruh pendekatan STREAM terhadap kecerdasan visual spasial dan kecerdasan spiritual di kelas XI pada mata pelajaran biologi. Dalam ranah pendidikan, pendekatan STREAM dapat meningkatkan kecerdasan visual spasial dan kecerdasan spiritual peserta didik pada mata pelajaran biologi Kata Kunci : Pendekatan STREAM, Kecerdasan Visual Spasial, Kecerdasan Spiritual, Sistem ekskresi pada manusia iv ABSTRACT This study was motivated by students' misconceptions in the subject of biology on the material of the human excretory system caused by internal factors such as the diversity of intelligence of each individual student, difficulty in processing information in the form of images, learning habits, interests and motivations, and health. While external factors are influenced by the family environment, social environment, and school environment. Meanwhile, learning methods, media, and learning resources are also other factors that can cause students' difficulties in learning biology. Therefore, this study aims to determine the effect of the Science Technology Religion Engineering Arts and Mathematics approach or abbreviated as the STREAM approach on visual spatial intelligence and spiritual intelligence of class XI students in biology subjects. The research method used is pre�experimental with the one group pretest posttest research design. The population in this study was all classes XI IPA with cluster random sampling techniques and research samples of 3 classes, namely XI IPA 4, XI IPA 2 and XI IPA 5. The tools for collecting data were essays and questionnaires. The results of the study indicate that there is an influence of the STREAM approach on visual spatial intelligence and spiritual intelligence in class XI in biology subjects.
