Abstract

ABSTRAK Masih rendahnya kemampuan membaca pemahaman di kelas IV SDN 26 Gedong Tataan sangat berpengaruh pada pembelajaran, dikarenakan peserta didik masih kesulitan dalam memahami bacaan,menemukan ide pokok, dan membuat kesimpulan. Selain itu, dikarenakan penggunaan model pembelajaran yang belum tepat dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh yangsignifikan dari Model Pembelajaran Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) terhadap kemampuan membaca pemahaman peserta didik kelas IV di SDN 26 Gedong Tataan. Metode Penelitian yang digunakan adalah Quasi Eksperiment dengan desain penelitian Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Pada penelitian ini sampel yang digunakan berjumlah 40 peserta didik dengan penjabaran 21 peserta didik sebagai kelas eksperimen atau kelas IV A yang menerapkan model pembelajaran CIRC, sedangkan 19 peserta didik sebagai kelas control atau kelas IV B yang menerapkan model SQ3R. Teknik pengumpulan data untuk kemampuan membaca pemahaman peserta didik berupa pre-test dan post-testberupa 25 soal pilihan ganda dan kemudian dianalisis dengan uji-t sebelumnya data tersebut diuji prasyarat dengan uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari model pembelajaran Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) terhadap kemampuan membaca pemahaman peserta didik. Hal ini dibuktikan dalam pengujian hipotesis menggunakan analisis data uji t independent samples t-test dengan taraf signifikan 5% (=0,05). Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh taraf signifikansi (sig) < 0,05 yaitu 0,010<0,05 dam juga diperoleh = 2.703 dan = 2.024 maka diperoleh > (2.703>2.024) yang menyatakan bahwa ditolak dan diterima pada penelitian ini. Artinya, pembelajaran menggunakan model pembelajaran CIRC ini berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan membaca pemahaman peserta didik kelas IV di SDN 26 Gedong Tataan yang dimana antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas control memiliki perbedaan yang signifikan. Kata Kunci: Kemampuan Membaca Pemahaman,CIRC iv ABSTRACT The low of reading comprehension ability in grade IV of SDN 26 Gedong Tataan is very influential in learning, because the students still have difficulty in understanding reading, finding main ideas, and making conclusions. In addition, due to the use of learning models that are not appropriate in improving reading comprehension skills. This objective of this study is to determine the significant influence of the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) Learning Model on the ability to read the understanding of grade IV students at SDN 26 Gedong Tataan. The Research Method used is Quasi Experimental with Nonequivalent Control Group Design research design. In this study, the sample used was 40 students with the description that 21 students in classs IV A as an experimental class who applied the CIRC learning model, while 19 students in class IV B as a control class who applied the SQ3R model. Data collection techniques for the ability to read and understand students in the form of pre-test and post-test in the form of 25 multiple choice questions and then analyzed with the previous t-test the data was tested for prerequisites with normality tests and homogeneity tests. The results of this study show that there is a significant influence from the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) learning model on the ability to read and understand students. This is proven in hypothesis testing using the analysis of t independent samples t-test data with a significant level of 5% ((=0.05). Based on the results of the data analysis, the level of significance (sig) < 0.05 was obtained, namely 0.010<0.05 and it was also obtained = 2.703 and = 2.024, so it was obtained > (2.703>2.024) which stated that it was rejected and accepted in this study. It prove that learning using the CIRC learning model has a significant effect on the ability to read and understand students in grade IV at SDN 26 Gedong Tataan where between the experimental class and the control class have significant differences.
