Abstract
ABSTRAK Creative problem solving skills merupakan aspek penting yang harus dimiliki oleh peserta didik. Permasalahan utama dalam penelitian ini yaitu rendahnya creative problem solving skills peserta didik yang disebabkan oleh kurangnya latihan dalam memecahkan berbagai permasalahan selama proses pembelajaran yang hanya menekankan konsep. Peserta didik mengalami kesulitan dalam menganalisis soal yang menuntut untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan dengan cara menganalisis. Hal tersebut terjadi karena kecenderungan peserta didik dalam menghafalkan jawaban dari contoh soal yang diberikan pendidik. Sehingga pendidik diharapkan mampu menciptakan kondisi belajar yang memotivasi dan tidak monoton agar mencapai tujuan pembelajaran yang diharapkan. Peneliti mengatasi permasalahan dengan menerapkan pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing berbasis socioscientific issues. Peserta didik dapat belajar lebih mendalam melalui fenomena atau isu sosial ilmiah yang kontroversial dan ada dilingkungan sekitarnya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu dapat mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing berbasis socioscientific issues terhadap creative problem solving skills. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasi eksperimen dengan desain Pretest Posttest Non�equivalent Control Group Design. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 1 Bumi Agung pada bulan Mei 2024. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 61 peserta didik yang terdiri dari 30 peserta didik XI MIPA 4 (kelas eksperimen) dan 31 peserta didik kelas XI MIPA 4 (kelas kontrol) dengan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa instrumen tes creative problem solving skills yang terdiri dari 10 soal uraian. Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis menggunakan uji independent sample test pada taraf signifikansi 5% diperoleh nilai Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000, sehingga Sig. (2-tailed) < 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing berbasis socioscientific issues berpengaruh terhadap creative problem solving skills peserta didik pada materi teori kinetik gas. Selain itu, hasil rata-rata N-gain kelas eksperimen memperoleh nilai sebesar 0,74 (kategori tinggi) sedangkan kelas kontrol sebesar 0,61 (kategori sedang). The main problem in this study is the low creative problem solving skills of students caused by the lack of practice in solving various problems during the learning process that only emphasizes concept. Students have difficulty analyzing problems that demand to solve problems by analyzing. This happens because of the tendency of students to memorize answers from sample questions given by educators. So that educators are expected to be able to create motivating and non-monotonous learning conditions in order to achieve the expected learning goals. Researchers overcome the problem by applying guided inquiry learning based on socioscientific issues. Students can learn more deeply through controversial and scientific social phenomena or issues that exist in the surrounding environment. The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of guided inquiry learning based on socioscientific issues on creative problem solving skills. This researcher used a quasi-experimental method with a Pretest Posttest Non-equivalent Control Group Design design. This research was carried out at SMA Negeri 1 Bumi Agung in May 2024. The research sample consisted of 61 students consisting of 30 students of XI MIPA 4 (experimental class) and 31 students of class XI MIPA 4 (control class) with purposive sampling techniques. The instrument used was in the form of a creative problem solving skills test instrument consisting of 10 description questions. Based on the results of the hypothesis test using an independent sample test at a significance level of 5%, the value of Sig. (2-tailed) was obtained of 0.000, so that Sig. (2-tailed) < 0.05. The results of the study show that guided inquiry learning based on socioscientific issues has an effect on students' creative problem�solving skills in gas kinetic theory material. In addition, the average N-gain result of the experimental class obtained a score of 0.74 (high category) while the control class was 0.61 (medium category).
