Abstract
ABSTRAK Mutu merupakan hal yang perlu diperhatikan dalam keberhasilan suatu lembaga pendidikan. Standar keberhasilan dari mutu adalah terpenuhinya kebutuhan, keinginan dan harapan pengguna. Maka, untuk mengukur mutu suatu sekolah, dapat dilakukan dengan beberapa cara yaitu peran penuh dari kepala sekolah, melihat kompetensi guru dalam mengajar, melihat metode pengajaran, visi dan misi sekolah, kurikulum pendidikan, prestasi sekolah dan fasilitas pendukung. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk : (1) menganalisis pengaruh peran kepala sekolah terhadap peningkatan mutu Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini se-kota Bandar Lampung, (2) menganalisis pengaruh motivasi kerja guru terhadap peningkatan mutu Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini se-kota Bandar Lampung, dan (3) menganalisis secara bersama-sama antara pengaruh kepala sekolah dan motivasi kerja guru dengan peningkatan mutu Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini se-kota Bandar Lampung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan design penelitian korelasi. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah sebanyak 112 orang guru dari total populasi sebanyak 157 orang guru. Data mengenai variable penelitian ini diperoleh melalui perspektif guru, yang dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan 3 angket yaitu angket peran kepala sekolah, angket motivasi kerja guru, dan angket mutu Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini. Kemudian data dianalisis dengan statistic insferensial analisis regresi linier sederhana dan analisis regresi linier berganda dengan diperbantukan Software Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa (1) terdapat pengaruh peran kepala sekolah terhadap peningkatan mutu Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini. (2) Terdapat pengaruh motivasi kerja guru terhadap peningkatan mutu Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini. (3) Terdapat pengaruh peran kepala sekolah dan motivasi kerja guru terhadap peningkatan mutu Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini. Adapun jika dilihat dari nilai koefisien determinasi yang diperoleh adalah sebesar 0.549, hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa kontribusi pengaruh X1 dan X2 terhadap Y adalah sebesar 54,9 % yaitu peran seorang kepala sekolah dan motivasi kerja guru mampu mempengaruhi tingkat mutu pada Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini di-Kota Bandar Lampung. Sementara sisanya 45,1 % merupakan kontribusi dari variabel-variabel lain yang tidak dimasukkan kedalam penelitian ini seperti disiplin kerja guru, proses belajar mengajar, dan lain sebagainya. Kata Kunci : Peran kepala sekolah, motivasi kerja, peningkatan mutu PAUD. xii ABSTRACT Quality is something that needs to be considered in the success of an educational institution. The standard of success of quality is the fulfillment of user needs, desires and expectations. So, to improve the quality of a school, it can be done by the full role of the principal, looking at the competence of teachers in teaching, looking at teaching methods, school vision and mission, educational curriculum, school achievement and supporting facilities. This study aims to : (1) analyze the influence of the role of the principal on improving the quality of Early Childhood Education in Bandar Lampung city, (2) analyze the influence of work motivation on improving the quality of Early Childhood Education in Bandar Lampung city, (3) analyze together the influence the role of the principal and work motivation with improving the quality of Early Childhood Education in Bandar Lampung city. This research used quantitative research methods with a correlation research design. The sample in this study was 112 teachers from a population total of 157 teachers. Data on this research variable was obtained through the perspective of teachers, which were collected using 3 questionnaires, namely questionnaires on the role of principals, questionnaires on teacher work motivation, and questionnaires on the quality of Early Childhood education. Then the data were analyzed with statistical insferential simple linear regression analysis and multiple linear regression analysis by seconding the Software Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). The result showed that (1) there was an influence of the role of the principal on improving the quality of Early Childhood Education in Bandar Lampung city. (2) There is an influence of teacher work motivation on improving the quality of Early Childhood Education in Bandar Lampung city. (3) there is an influence the role of the principal and teacher work motivation on improving the quality of Early Childhood Education in Bandar Lampung city. As for when viewed from the value of the coefficient of determination obtained is 0.549, this result shows that the contribution of the influence of X1 and X2 on Y is 54,9 %, namely the role of a school principal and the teachers work motivation is able to affect the quality level in Early Childhood Education in Bandar Lampung city. While the remaining 45.1% is a contribution from other variables that are not included in this study such as teacher work discipline, teaching and learning process, and so on.
