Abstract
ABSTRAK Kompetensi guru secara umum dapat didefinisikan sebagai keterampilan,pengetahuan, dan sikap yang dimiliki oleh guru secara konseptual, serta kemampuan operasional untuk mengimplementasikan dalam proses pembelajaran. Guru yang baik bukan saja dituntut dapat melaksanakan tugasnya secara profesional, tetapi juga harus memiliki pengetahuan dan kemampuan dalam mengawal proses pendidikan dan pembelajaran di sekolah. Berdasarkan fakta tersebut maka masalah dalam penelitian ini dirumuskan sebagai berikut: bagaimana kemampuan guru di MIN 1 Pesisir Barat dalam menguasai karakteristik peserta didik, menguasai teori dan prinsip-prinsip pebelajaran yag mendidik, pengembangan kurikulum, kegiatan pembelajaran yang mendidik, pengembangan potensi peserta didik, komunikasi dengan peserta didik, penilaian dan evaluasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data terdiri dari atas Kepala Madrasah berjumlah 1 orang, Tenaga Pendidik/Guru berjumlah 5 orang. Untuk mengumpulkan data Teknik pengumpul data meliputi wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, verifikasi data dan penarika kesimpulan. Sedangkan uji keabsahan data menggunakan teknik triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi teknik. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Kompetensi Pedagogik Guru di MIN 1 Pesisir Barat dapat dikatakan cukup baik dalam menguasai karakteristik peserta didik, menguasai teori dan prinsip-prinsip pebelajaran yag mendidik, pengembangan kurikulum, kegiatan pembelajaran yang mendidik, pengembangan potensi peserta didik, komunikasi dengan peserta didik, penilaian dan evaluasi. Rekomendasi/saran diajukan untuk kepala madrasah agar lebih meningkatkan kompetensi guru hendaknya lebih sering mengikut sertakan guru dalam berbagai kegiatan seperti mengikuti wokshop, seminar, diklat, dan IHT baik yang diselenggarakan pihak Madrasah maupun pihak luar, mengarahkan guru dalam melaksanakan tugas dan kewajibannya agar semakin aktif kreatif, dan profesional serta memberi penghargaan kepada setiap guru yang berprestasi agar perserta didik lebih termotivasi. Untuk tenaga pendidik agar selalu mengarahkan pengetahuan, dan pemahaman terhadap materi/bahan ajar dalam pelaksanaan proses pendidikan dan pembelajaran. Serta selalu berusaha untuk meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogic melalui berbagai momentum/kegiatan seperti diklat, wokshop, seminar, dan lain-lain baik internal maupun ekternal sekolah. Kata Kunci: Guru, Kompetensi PedagogikABSTRACT In general, teacher competencies can be defined as skills, knowledge, and attitudes possessed by teachers conceptually, as well as operational abilities to implement them in the learning process. Good teachers are not only required to be able to carry out their duties professionally, but also must have the knowledge and ability to oversee the education and learning process in schools. Based on these facts, the problem in this study is formulated as follows: how is the ability of teachers at MIN 1 Pesisir Barat in mastering the characteristics of students, mastering theories and principles of educational learning, curriculum development, educational learning activities, developing student potential, communication with students, assessment and evaluation. This research use desciptive qualitative approach. Sources of data consist of the head of the Madrasah totaling 1 person, Educators/Teachers totaling 5 people. To collect data Data collection techniques include interviews, observation, and documentation. The analysis technique includes data reduction, data presentation, data verification and drawing conclusions. Meanwhile, the data validity test used source triangulation and technical triangulation techniques. The results of the study indicate that the Pedagogic Competence of Teachers at MIN 1 Pesisir Barat can be said to be quite good in mastering the characteristics of students, mastering theories and principles of educating learning, curriculum development, educational learning activities, developing student potential, communicating with students, assessment and evaluation. Recommendations/suggestions are submitted to the head of madrasah in order to further improve teacher competence, they should involve teachers more often in various activities such as attending workshops, seminars, training, and IHT both organized by the Madrasah and external parties, directing teachers in carrying out their duties and obligations to be more active creative, and professional as well as giving awards to every teacher who excels so that students are more motivated. For educators to always direct knowledge and understanding of teaching materials/materials in the implementation of the education and learning process. And always trying to improve pedagogic competence through various momentum/activities such as training, workshops, seminars, and others, both internal and external to the school.
