Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini membahas konsep paradigma revolusi dalam ilmu pengetahuan dari perspektif Thomas Kuhn. Paradigma ilmiah yang telah menjadi landasan bagi perkembangan pengetahuan dianggap sebagai entitas yang kompleks dan dinamis, bukan sekadar serangkaian teori atau hukum. Melalui tinjauan literatur terhadap karya-karya Kuhn dan karya-karya terkait, penelitian ini menguraikan peran paradigma dalam mengarahkan evolusi pengetahuan dan bagaimana revolusi ilmiah terjadi ketika paradigma mengalami krisis. Analisis mendalam terhadap konsep paradigma dan revolusi ilmiah Kuhn memberikan pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang dinamika di balik perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan. Implikasi dari pemahaman ini terhadap praktik ilmiah dan pendidikan dijelaskan dalam konteks kontemporer, menyoroti relevansi teori Kuhn dalam memahami transformasi ilmiah masa kini. Penelitian ini berkontribusi pada pemahaman yang lebih luas tentang sifat evolusi ilmu pengetahuan dan relevansi konsep paradigma revolusi dalam konteks perkembangan ilmiah. Penelitian ini dilakukan mengunakan metode kajian pustaka dengan pendekatan kualitatif serta analisis data didalam membaca, mencatat, dan mengolah bahan penelitian. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data, yaitu berupa data primer dan data sekunder. Data primer diperoleh dari buku karya August Comte yang berjudul, ―Cours de philosophie positive” yaitu secara khusus mengutarakan pemikiran Auguste Comte mengenai revolusi dalam ilmu pengetahuan, sedangkan data sekunder berasal dari data keputakaan lainnya berupa teori-teori sebagai penunjang dan relevan dengan tema pada penelitian ini. Semua data tersebut merupakan bahan-bahan untuk mendeskripsikan konsep perubahan ilmu pengetahuan dalam pemikiran Thomas Kuhn dalam karyanya ―The Structure pf Scientific Revolutions” beserta orientasinya. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa perubahan dan perkembangan yang terjadi dalam ilmu pengetahuan dalam pemikiran Thomas Kuhn adalah sesuatu yang didasari pada pemikirannya mengenai dunia revolusi yang merupakan sebuah realitas sebenarnya, sehingga paradigma revolusi sains/ilmu pengetahuan dalam filsafat Thomas Kuhn adalah pendapatnya tentang perubahan dalam ilmu pengetahuan harus melalui stase-stase sehingga realitas ilmu pengetahuan tersebut dapat dipakai kevaliditasannya. Kata Kunci: Paradigma, Revolusi, Ilmu Pengetahuan, Thomas Kuhn.ABSTRACT This research discusses the concept of the revolution paradigm in science from Thomas Kuhn's perspective. The scientific paradigm that has become the basis for the development of knowledge is considered a complex and dynamic entity, not just a series of theories or laws. Through a literature review of Kuhn's works and related works, this research outlines the role of paradigms in directing the evolution of knowledge and how scientific revolutions occur when paradigms experience a crisis. An in-depth analysis of Kuhn's concepts of paradigm and scientific revolution provides a better understanding of the dynamics behind the development of science. The implications of this understanding for scientific practice and education are explained in a contemporary context, highlighting the relevance of Kuhn's theory in understanding today's scientific transformations. This research contributes to a broader understanding of the evolutionary nature of science and the relevance of the concept of revolutionary paradigm in the context of scientific development. This research was conducted using a literature review method with a qualitative approach and data analysis in reading, taking notes and processing research materials. This research uses data collection techniques, namely primary data and secondary data. Primary data was obtained from a book by August Comte entitled, "Cours de philosophie positive" which specifically expresses Auguste Comte's thoughts regarding the revolution in science, while secondary data came from other literature data in the form of theories to support and be relevant to the theme of the research. This. All of this data is material for describing the concept of scientific change in the thinking of Thomas Kuhn in his work "The Structure Of Scientific Revolutions" and its orientation. The results of this research show that the changes and developments that occur in science in Thomas Kuhn's thinking are something that is based on his thoughts about the world of revolution which is an actual reality, so that the paradigm of scientific/scientific revolution in Thomas Kuhn's philosophy is his opinion about changes in science. must go through stages so that the reality of the science can be used for its validity.
