Abstract

ABSTRAK Kemampuan representasi dan kemampuan koneksi matematis pada peserta didik merupakan suatu kemampuan yang sangat dibutuhkan oleh peserta didik supaya dapat menyelesaikan permasalahan matematika. Berdasarkan dari hasil pra penelitian kemampuan representasi dan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa SMPN 21 Bandar Lampung masih tergolong rendah, dimana masih banyak siswa yang memperoleh nilai dibawah rata-rata, dari 252 siswa melaksanakan tes kemampuan representasi yang memperoleh nilai ≥ 70 ada 90 siswa dan yang memperoleh nilai < 70 ada sebanyak 166 siswa. Sedangkan tes kemampuan koneksi yang memperoleh nilai ≥ 70 ada 83 siswa dan yang memperoleh nilai < 70 ada sebanyak 173 siswa. Oleh karena itu, peneliti tertarik untuk menerapkan model pembelajaran Meaningful Instructional Design (MID). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Meaningful Instructional Design (MID) Terhadap Kemampuan Representasi dan Koneksi Matematis Peserta Didik. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Quasy Eksperiment. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas VIII SMPN 21 Bandar Lampung Tahun Pelajaran 2023/2024. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik acak kelas dengan kelas VIII G sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII H sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data adalah tes subjektif. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu uji normalitas, uji homogenitas dan uji hipotesis menggunakan uji MANOVA. Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran Meaningful Instructional Design (MID) terhadap kemampuan representasi dan kemampuan koneksi matematis peserta didik. This research is a Quasy Experimental research. The population in this study were all class VIII students at SMPN 21 Bandar Lampung for the 2023/2024 academic year. The sampling technique used a random class technique with class VIII G as the experimental class and class VIII H as the control class. The instrument used in data collection is a subjective test. The data analysis techniques used are the normality test, homogeneity test and hypothesis testing using the MANOVA test. The results of the research can be concluded that there is an influence of the Meaningful Instructional Design (MID) learning model on students' mathematical representation and connection abilities.
