Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dengan pentingnya penalaran matematis dan kemampuan pemahaman konsep yang juga merupakan salah satu tujuan pembelajaran matematika. Adapun permasalahan dari penelitian ini adalah rendahnya kemampuan penalaran dan pemahaman konsep matematis peserta didik SMPN 1 Jati Agung Lampung Selatan, disebabkan karena model pembelajaran yang cenderung pasif dan berpusat pada pendidik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah Untuk Mengetahui Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran MASTER Terhadap Penalaran dan Pemahaman Konsep Pada Peserta Didik Untuk Mengetahui Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran MASTER Terhadap Penalaran Pada Peserta Didik, Untuk Mengetahui Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran MASTER Terhadap Pemahaman Konsep Pada Peserta Didik. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Quasi Experimental Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VIII SMPN 1 Jati Agung Lampung Selatan.teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah simple random sampling, terpilih dua kelas yaitu kelas VIII A dengan model MASTER dan VIII B dengan model konvensional. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes dan non tes. Uji prasyarat menggunakan uji normalitas dan homogenitas, sedangkan uji hipotesis menggunakan MANOVA. Menurut hasil analisis data penelitian, terdapat pengaruh model MASTER terhadap penalaran dan pemahaman konsep matematis peserta didik, terdapat pengaruh model MASTER terhadap penalaran peserta didik, terdapat pengaruh model MASTER terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep peserta didik Kata kunci : MASTER, Pemahaman Konsep, Penalaran Matematis ABSTRACT This research is motivated by the importance of mathematical reasoning and the ability to understand concepts, which is also one of the goals of mathematics learning. The problem of this research is the low reasoning ability and understanding of mathematical concepts of students at SMPN 1 Jati Agung Lampung Selatan, due to the learning model which tends to be passive and teacher-centered. The purpose of this research is to determine the influence of the MASTER learning model on reasoning and understanding concepts in students. This type of research is Quasi Experimental Design. The population in this study were class VIII students at SMPN 1 Jati Agung South Lampung. The sampling technique used was simple random sampling, two classes were selected, namely class VIII A with the MASTER model and VIII B with the conventional model. Data collection techniques use tests and non-tests. The prerequisite test uses normality and homogeneity tests, while the hypothesis test uses MANOVA.
