Abstract

ABSTRAK Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu apakah terdapat pengaruh kemampuan survivabilitas rayap jenis Nasutitermes dan Macrotermes pada suhu yang bervariasi. Metode pada penelitian ini adalah perlakuan langsung pada rayap terhadap suhu 0°C, 5°C, 10°C, 15°C, 20°C, 25°C, 30°C, 35°C, 40°C, 45°,C dan 50°C dengan rentang waktu 1 jam. Jumlah sampel yang digunakan yaitu 50 rayap Nasutitermes dan 50 rayap Macrotermes dengan teknik pengumpulan sampel menggunakan Purposive Sampling. Pada penelitian ini analisis data menggunakan ANOVA. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu tingkat survivabilitas rayap Nasutitermes mencapai 100% terdapat pada suhu 25°C sampai dengan 35°C hal ini ditunjukan dengan respon rayap yang aktif bergerak. Lalu pada rayap Macrotermes menunjukan tingkat survivabilitas dengan presentase 100% terdapat pada suhu 30° sampai 35° hal ini ditunjukan dengan respon rayap yang aktif bergerak. Kesimpulan pada penelitian ini yaitu kadar suhu bervariasi berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan survivabilitas rayap, hal ini ditunjukan bahwa kemampuan hidup rayap disuhu rata-rata 30°C dan 35°C. Kemudian pada suhu 0°C dan 50°C memiliki presentase kematian paling banyak baik itu rayap Nasutitermes dan rayap Macrotermes. Kata Kunci : Rayap Nasutitermes, Rayap Macrotermes, Suhu iv ABSTRACT The aim of this research is whether there is an influence on the survivability of Nasutitermes and Macrotermes termites at varying temperatures. The method in this research is direct treatment of termites at temperatures of 0°C, 5°C, 10°C, 15°C, 20°C, 25°C, 30°C, 35°C, 40°C, 45°, C and 50°C with a time span of 1 hour. The number of samples used was 50 Nasutitermes termites and 50 Macrotermes termites with a sample collection technique using Purposive Sampling. In this study, data analysis used ANOVA. The results of this research are that the survivability level of Nasutitermes termites reaches 100% at temperatures of 25°C - 35°C, this is shown by the response of termites that are actively moving. Then the Macrotermes termites show a level of survivability with a percentage of 100% at temperatures of 30° - 35°. This is shown by the response of the termites which are actively moving. The conclusion of this research is that varying temperature levels influence the survivability of termites. This shows that the ability of termites to survive at an average temperature of 30°C and 35°C. Then, temperatures of 0°C and 50°C have the highest percentage of deaths, both Nasutitermes termites and Macrotermes termites. Keywords: Nasutitermes Termites, Macrotermes Termites, Temperature
