Abstract

ABSTRAK Berdasarkan hasil pra penelitian yang dilakukan pada kelas XI MIA di MAN 1 Bandar Lampung diperoleh hasil bahwa HOTS dan self concept peserta didik masih menengah kebawah. Rata-rata indikator HOTS sebesar 0.20 dengan kriteria rendah, sedangkan rata�rata indikator self concept sebesar 0.47 dengan kriteria sedang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model PBL berbasis strategi metakognisi terhadap HOTS dan self concept kelas XI pada mata pelajaran biologi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan Quasy experimental dengan desain penelitian The matching only pretest-posttest control group design dan teknik pengambilan sampel dengan Cluster Random Sampling. Sampel penelitian ini terdiri dari dua kelas yaitu kelas eksperimen (n=36 peserta didik) dan kelas kontrol (n=37 peserta didik). Model PBL berbasis strategi metakognisi dilaksanakan pada kelas eksperimen (XI MIA 5) sedangkan untuk kelas kontrol (XI MIA 3) menggunakan model Discovery learning. Teknik pengumpulan data HOTS dengan tes multiple choice dan lembar angket skala linkert untuk self concept. Uji hipotesis penelitian menggunakan uji Multivariate (MANOVA) dengan taraf signifikasi sebesar α=0,05. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai sig. 0,000> α=0,05 dengan ketentuan Hl diterima dan H0 ditolak. Artinya terdapat pengaruh model PBL berbasis strategi metakognisi terhadap HOTS dan self concept peserta didik kelas XI pada mata pelajaran biologi. Penelitian ini memiliki kontribusi dalam upaya membantu meningkatkan peringkat Programme for international student assessment (PISA) dan Trends in international mathematics and science study (TIMSS) pendidikan di Indonesia. This research aims to determine the effect of the PBL model based on metacognition strategies on HOTS and self concept in class XI in biology subjects. The research method used was Quasy experimental with a matching only pretest-posttest control group design research design and a sampling technique using Cluster Random Sampling. This research sample consisted of two classes, namely the experimental class (n=36 students) and the control class (n=37 students). The Problem Based Learning model based on metacognition strategies was implemented in the experimental class (XI MIA 5) while the control class (XI MIA 3) used the Discovery learning model. HOTS data collection technique using multiple choice tests and Linkert scale questionnaire sheets for self-concept. Test the research hypothesis using the Multivariate test (MANOVA) with a significance level of α=0.05. Based on the research results, it shows that the sig. 0.000> α=0.05 provided that Hl is accepted and H0 is rejected. This means that there is an influence of the Problem Based Learning model based on metacognition strategies on the Higher Order Thinking Skills and self-concept of class XI students in biology subjects. This research contributes to efforts to help improve the ranking of the Program for international student assessment (PISA) and Trends in international mathematics and science study (TIMSS) education in Indonesia.
