Abstract

ABSTRAK Pembelajaran Problem Solving merupakan metode yang digunakan dalam proses menganalisis, berpikir, dan bernalar untuk tujuan dapat menyelesaikan permasalahan pada soal matematika. Penerapan metode problema solving dilakukan karena siswa di SDN 74 Krui masih memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang rendah dibuktikan dengan nilai matematika yang masih di bawah KKM. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode problem solving terhadap pemecahan masalah yang sesuai dengan teori polya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan menggunakan quasi eksperimen. Sampel ditujukan kepada kelas III A sebagai kelas ekperimen dan III B sebagai kelas kontrol. Penelitian dilakukan pada peserta didik SDN 74 Krui pada tahun ajaran smester ganjil 2023/2024. Teknik analisis data dengan melihat nilai validitas dan reabilitas 15 soal. Selanjutnya di berikan uji normalitas, homogenitas, dan hipotesis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh penerapan metode pembelajaran problem solving menggunakan teori polya terhadap pemecahan masalah sosal cerita pada kelas III di Sd Negeri 74 Krui. Hal ini didukung oleh perhitungan uji-t yang telah dilakukan pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol maka didapatkan thitung memperoleh nilai 3,759 dan ttabel adalah 1,681 sehingga hasilnya thitung > ttabel yang artinya H1 diterima dan H0 ditolak. Rata-rata nilai matematika pada siswa yang diterapkan metode problem solving lebih tinggi daripada nilai siswa yang diterapkan metode diskusi. Adanya metode pembelajaran problem solving dapat secara signifikan meningkatkan kosentrasi belajar siswa dan tahapan dalam penyelesaian masalah secara tepat. Demikian dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa dengan menerapkan metode problem solving memiliki pengaruh terhadap pemecahan masalah soal cerita matematika sehingga siswa lebih mudah dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita khsusnya pada meteri pengurangan dan penjumlahan. ABSTRACT Problem Solving learning is a method used in the process of analyzing, thinking and reasoning for the purpose of solving problems in mathematics. The application of the problem solving method was carried out because students at SDN 74 Krui still had low problem solving abilities as evidenced by their mathematics scores which were still below the KKM. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of problem solving methods on problem solving in accordance with polya theory.. The research method used is a quantitative method using quasi experiments. The sample was aimed at class III A as the experimental class and III B as the control class. The research was conducted on students at SDN 74 Krui in the odd semester academic year 2023/2024. Data analysis technique by looking at the validity and reliability values of 15 questions. Next, normality, homogeneity and hypothesis tests are given. The results of the research show that there is an influence of the application of problem solving learning methods using polya theory on solving social story problems in class III at SD Negeri 74 Krui. This is supported by t-test calculations that have been carried out in the experimental class and control class, so it is found that tcount gets a value of 3.759 and ttable is 1.681 so the result is tcount > ttable which means H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected. The average mathematics score for students who applied the problem solving method was higher than the score for students who applied the discussion method. The existence of problem solving learning methods can significantly increase student learning concentration and stages in solving problems appropriately. Thus, it can be concluded that applying the problem solving method has an influence on solving mathematics story problems so that it is easier for students to solve story problems, especially in subtraction and addition.
