Abstract

Problems that occur in SD Negeri 01 Budi Lestari district of Tanjung South Lampung is a module that is used contains content that is informative, no color, and no captions that can help students understand the material, so that the use of the module is not able to encourage learners to think and learn independently. Based on the problems studied, can be formulated the problem in this study "How the development of science-based inquiry module?". This type of research is adapted from methods developed R & D (Research and Development), which aims to develop and determine the feasibility of inquiry-based science module to the fourth grade as a learning resource for teachers. Data collection instruments used in the form of a questionnaire given to subject matter experts, media specialists, and teachers to test the quality inquiry-based science modules. Learners and questionnaires to evaluate the response to the inquiry-based science module products. The results of this research and development is a matter of inquiry-based science module plant parts and functions. In the process of implementation, research and development was started by collecting information in order to find the skeleton of products that will be developed. The products were developed in certain circumstances, through a validation test by experts which can then be revised, after it was tested, and finally found an end product that is considered perfect. Kelayakn module that was developed inquiry-based science has keidelaian material is described in detail with illustrations or captions, the material is also described using inquiry approach (to find out). In addition, the design is very attractive. This is confirmed by the average percentage of 87.5% for subject matter experts, and 84.1% for design experts. Moreover, obtaining the average percentage of 84.9% for the fourth grade teachers and the positive response given by learners indicates that the module is very interesting. Conclusion of research is inquiry-based science module materials plant parts and functions eligible for use in the process of learning science in the fourth grade students of SDN 01 Budi Lestari Tanjung Bintang District of South Lampung.
