Abstract

ABSTRAK Oleh Novilia Pendekatan saintifik (scientific learning) merupakan pendekatan yang menggunakan metode ilmiah, umumnya menggunakan serangkaian aktifitas seperti, pengumpulan data melalui observasi, bertanya, eksperimen, mengolah informasi atau data, kemudian mengkomunikasikan atau diskusi. Berdasarkan hasil pra penelitian diketahui bahwa kemampuan literasi matematis siswa masih rendah, guru masih menggunakan metode ekspositori, guru belum mengaplikasikan pendekatan saintifik, dan kurangnya pastisipasi siswa. Oleh karena itu, maka digunakan pembelajaran pendekatan scientific learning yang dapat membantu siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pendekatan scientific learning terhadap kemampuan literasi matematis siswa. Metode penelitian ini adalah quasi experimental. Desain yang digunakan yaitu pretest-postest control group. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah tes, wawancara, dan observasi. Validasi isi dilakukan oleh ahli materi. Teknik Analisis Instrumen menggunakan Validitas, Reliabilitas, Tingkat Kesukaran, dan Daya Beda. Teknik Analisis Prasyarat menggunakan Uji N-gain, uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan literasi matematis siswa terdapat keefektivan dengan pendekatan scientific learning. Kata Kunci: Kemampuan Literasi Matematis, Kemampuan, Pendekatan Scientific Learning ii ABSTRACT By Novilia The scientific approach (scientific learning) is an approach that uses scientific methods, generally using a series of activities such as collecting data through observation, asking questions, experimenting, processing information or data, then communicating or discussing. Based on pre-research results, it is known that students' mathematical literacy skills are still low, teachers still use expository methods, teachers have not applied a scientific approach, and there is a lack of student participation. Therefore, a scientific learning approach is used which can help students in the learning process. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of the scientific learning approach on students' mathematical literacy abilities. This research method is quasi experimental. The design used is a pretest-posttest control group. Data collection techniques are tests, interviews and observations. Content validation is carried out by material experts. Instrument Analysis Techniques use Validity, Reliability, Level of Difficulty, and Differential Power. Prerequisite analysis techniques use the N-gain test, normality test and homogeneity test. It can be concluded that students' mathematical literacy skills are effective with the scientific learning approach. Keywords: Mathematical Literacy Ability, Scientific Learning Approach
