Abstract

ABSTRAK Pendidikan sebagai organisasi formal, menuntut setiap para pelaku pendidikan harus memiliki sumber daya yang baik. Salah satu bentuk sumber daya manusia yang baik yaitu adanya kesadaran seorang guru dalam komitmen dan tanggung jawab akan profesinya, hal tersebut dapat terlihat dari tingkat kedisiplinan guru dalam bekerja. Disiplin kerja sendiri merupakan bentuk kesiapan dan kesanggupan seorang guru dalam melaksanakan setiap tugas dan tanggung jawab nya, maka diperlukan kepemimpinan kepala madrasah yang dapat memberikan pengaruh terhadap bawahan yang dimana bawahan dapat melaksanakan tugas dan kewajiban nya dengan baik tanpa adanya tekanan yang dirasakan. Hal demikiran dapat diupaykan melalui kepemimpinan kepala madrasah yang demokratis, sebab dalam kepemimpinan yang demokratis seorang pemimpin menyadari bahwa kesukseskan dalam memimpin madrasah tidak dapat didapatkan oleh pemimpin itu sendiri tanpa adanya kerja sama dengan para guru maupun staf lainnya. Kepemimpinan yang demokratis juga telah digunakan oleh kepala madrasah MAN 01 Lampung Selatan sebagai upaya kepala madrasah meningkatkan disiplin kerja guru di MAN 01 Lampung Selatan. Dalam penelitian ini menggunkan pendekatan penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian regresi linear sederhana. Dengan populasi penelitian berjumlah 46 guru, dan teknik sampling yang digunakan yaitu total sampling, sehingga sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 46 guru. Dengan teknik pengambilan data menggunakan angket dengan 27 pertanyaan untuk variabel X dan 15 pertanyaan untuk variabel Y, yang sebelumnya angket telah diuji tingkat kevalidan menggunakan uji pearson product moment dan reliabelitas menggunakan Croanbach Alpha > 0,60 kepada 10 responden diluar sampel penelitian. Untuk uji prasyarat analisis menggunakan uji normalitas dan uji linearitas, sedangkan dalam pengujian hipotesis menggunkana uji regresli linear sederhana, uji T, dan uji koefisien diterminasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa gaya kepemimpinan demokratis kepala madrasah berpengaruh positif terhadap disiplin kerja guru di MAN 01 Lampung Selatan. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil perhitungan uji T dengan nilai thitung > ttabel (5,576 > 2,015) yang artinya H0 ditolak. Kemudian pada hasil uji regresi linear sederhana, diketahui nilai konstanta 22,580, yang artinya disiplin kerja guru 22,580 dan nilai koefisien gaya kepemimpinan demokratis kepala madrasah bernilai postif sebesar 0,346. Pada hasil perhitungan uji koefisien diterminasi di dapatkan nilai R square sebesar 0,414 yang artinya gaya kepemimpinan demokratis kepala madrasah mempengaruhi disiplin kerja guru mencapai 41,4% dan 58,6% lainnya dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain Kata Kunci: Kepemimpinan demokratis, disiplin kerja iv ABSTRACT Education as a formal organization requires that every educational actor must have good resources. One form of good human resources is a teacher's awareness of commitment and responsibility for their profession, this can be seen from the teacher's level of discipline in working. Work discipline itself is a form of a teacher's readiness and ability to carry out each of his duties and responsibilities, so the leadership of the madrasa head is needed who can have an influence on subordinates so that subordinates can carry out their duties and obligations well without any perceived pressure. This idea can be achieved through the democratic leadership of the madrasa head, because in democratic leadership a leader realizes that success in leading a madrasa cannot be achieved by the leader himself without cooperation with teachers and other staff. Democratic leadership has also been used by the head of the MAN 01 South Lampung madrasa as an effort by the madrasa head to improve the work discipline of teachers at MAN 01 South Lampung. This research uses a quantitative research approach with a simple linear regression type of research. With a research population of 46 teachers, and the sampling technique used was total sampling, so the sample in this study was 46 teachers. With the data collection technique using a questionnaire with 27 questions for variable To test the prerequisites for analysis, the normality test and linearity test are used, while for hypothesis testing the simple linear regression test, T test and coefficient of termination test are used. Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that the democratic leadership style of the madrasa head has a positive effect on teacher work discipline at MAN 01 South Lampung. This can be seen from the results of the T test calculation with a value of tcount > ttable (5.576 > 2.015) which means that H0 is rejected. Then, in the results of the simple linear regression test, it is known that the constant value is 22.580, which means that the teacher's work discipline is 22.580 and the coefficient value for the madrasa head's democratic leadership style is positive at 0.346. In the results of the termination coefficient test calculation, an R square value of 0.414 was obtained, which means that the madrasa head's democratic leadership style influences teacher work discipline reaching 41.4% and the other 58.6% is influenced by other variables.
