Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis dan kurangnya kepercayaan diri peserta didik terhadap matematika. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran Pair Check berbantuan alat peraga geoboard terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis dan self confidence peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian Quasi Eksperimental Design dengan desain posttest-only control design. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VII MTs Al�Hikmah Bandar Lampung. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan merupakan teknik Cluster Random Sampling yang kemudian diperoleh kelas VII A sebagai kelas eksperimen yang diberi perlakuan menggunakan model pembelajaran Pair Check berbantuan alat peraga geoboard dan kelas VII B sebagai kelas kontrol yang diberi perlakuan menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa tes dan angket. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan uji prasyarat yaitu uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas, diperoleh bahwa data hasil tes dari kedua kelompok tersebut berdistribusi normal dan homogen. Pengujian hipotesis dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Multivariate Analysis of Varians (MANOVA) dengan taraf signifikansi sebesar 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran Pair Check berbantuan alat peraga geoboard terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis, (2) terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran Pair Check berbantuan alat peraga geoboard terhadap self confidence, (3) terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran Pair Check berbantuan alat peraga geoboard terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis dan self confidence. Peserta didik yang memperoleh model pembelajaran Pair Check berbantuan alat peraga geoboard mendapatkan hasil pemahaman konsep matematis dan self confidence lebih baik dari peserta didik yang memperoleh model pembelajaran konvensional. The aim of this research is to find out whether there is an influence of the Pair Check learning model assisted by geoboard props on understanding abilities mathematical concepts and students' self-confidence. This research using quantitative methods with Quasi research type Experimental Design with a posttest-only control design. The population in this study were class VII students at MTs Al-Hikmah Bandar Lampung. Sampling technique used is the Cluster Random Sampling technique then class VII A was obtained as the experimental class given treatment using the assisted Pair Check learning model geoboard props and class VII B as the control class given treatment using conventional learning models. Data collection techniques include tests and questionnaires. The data analysis technique in this research uses tests the prerequisites are the normality test and homogeneity test, it is found that The test result data from the two groups were normally distributed and homogeneous. Hypothesis testing in this research uses Multivariate Analysis of Variance (MANOVA) with levels significance of 0.05. The research results show that (1) there is an influence of the tool-assisted Pair Check learning model geoboard demonstration of the ability to understand concepts mathematically, (2) there is the influence of the Pair Check learning model with the help of geoboard props on self-confidence, (3) there are The influence of the Pair Check learning model assisted by teaching aids geoboard on the ability to understand mathematical concepts and self�confidence. Students who receive the learning model Pair Check assisted by geoboard props gets results better understanding of mathematical concepts and self-confidence students who receive conventional learning models.
