Abstract

ABSTRAK Kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis pada peserta didik perlu dimiliki sejak duduk di sekolah dasar. Karena di sekolah dasar peserta didik menerima materi-materi dasar yang merupakan kunci untuk dapat mereka pahami materi-materi matematika pada jenjang selanjutnya. Berdasarkan hasil pra penelitian pemahaman konsep matematis peserta didik masih tergolong rendah, peserta didik kurang memperhatikan guru menyampaikan materi dan peserta didik masih kurang aktif dalam bertanya tentang materi yang belum mereka pahami. Guru telah menerapkan model pembelajaran akan tetapi belum memaksimalkan pemahaman konsep matematis peserta didik, sehingga pemahaman konsep matematis pada peserta didik masih tergolong rendah, dapat dilihat dari hasil belajar peserta didik dimana rata-rata masih banyak di bawah rata-rata. Berdasarkan masalah tersebut peneliti memberikan usul untuk menggunakan model pembelajaran Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, Extending (CORE) dalam membantu mengembangkan kemampuan peserta didik dalam memahami konsep-konsep pembelajaran yang dianggap sulit. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian eksperimen. Design penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Quasi Eksperimental Design yang menggunakan Posttest Only Control Group Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh peserta didik kelas V SDN 1 Durian Payung sebanyak 49 peserta didik. Sampel yang digunakan sebanyak dua kelas yaitu kelas VA sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VB sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu pemahaman konsep matematis berupa soal uraian. Sebelum melakukan penelitian instrumen tes diujicobakan terlebih dahulu dan dilakukan uji instrumen berupa uji validitas, uji reliabilitas, daya beda dan tingkat kesukaran. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan Independent t-test (Uji-t). Berdasarkan pengujian data hasil analisis normalitas dan homogenitas diperoleh bahwa sampel tersebut berdistribusi normal dan homogen. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan Independent t-test iii (Uji-t) dengan taraf signifikansi 5% (α = 0,05), diperoleh p-Value < α (0,00 < 0,05) yang menyatakan bahwa H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima sehingga dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari model pembelajaran Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, Extending (CORE) berbantuan media manipulatif terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis peserta didik kelas V SD N 1 Durian Payung. Because in elementary school students receive basic material which is the key to being able to understand mathematics material at the next level. Based on the pre�research results, students' understanding of mathematical concepts is still relatively low, students pay less attention to the teacher delivering the material and students are still less active in asking questions about material they do not understand. Teachers have implemented learning models but have not maximized students' understanding of mathematical concepts, so students' understanding of mathematical concepts is still relatively low, which can be seen from students' learning outcomes where the average is still much below average. Based on this problem, the researcher proposed using the Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, Extending (CORE) learning model to help develop students' abilities in understanding learning concepts that are considered difficult. This research uses an experimental type of research. The research design used is Quasi Experimental Design which uses Posttest Only Control Group Design. The population in this study was all 49 class V students at SDN 1 Durian Payung. The samples used were two classes, namely class VA as the experimental class and class VB as the control class. The data collection technique used is understanding mathematical concepts in the form of description questions. Before conducting research, the test instrument is tested first and the instrument is tested in the form of a validity test, reliability test, distinguishability and level of difficulty. Hypothesis testing uses the Independent t-test (t-test). Based on testing the data from normality and homogeneity analysis, it was found that the sample had a normal and homogeneous distribution. Hypothesis testing uses Independent t-test (t-test) with a significance level of 5% (α = 0.05), obtained p-Value < α (0.00 < 0.05) which states that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted so it can be It v can be concluded that there is a significant influence of the Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, Extending (CORE) learning model assisted by manipulative media on the understanding of mathematical concepts of class V students at SD N 1 Durian Payung.
