Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian iini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis dan disposisi matematis siswa. Siswa cenderung pasif dan kurang aktif bertanya kepada guru tentang materi yang tidak jelas karena menganggap matematika adalah pelajaran yang menakutkan dan sulit dipahami. Selain itu ketika siswa diberikan tugas mereka kurang mampu dalam menyajikan, menyelesaikan dan menyimpulkan jawabn sehingga lebih memilih untuk menyontek. Hal-hal inilah yang akan mengakibatkan kemampuan matematika siswa lemah hingga nantinya akan sulit unruk menerima materi selanjutnya. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya inovasi dalam menentukan pendekatan dan metode untuk proses pembelajaran agar dapat memberikan suasana menyenangkan sehingga siswa dapat memahami materi yang diajarkan. Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari pendekatan scienfic dengan metode index card match terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis dan disposisi matematis siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian quasy eksperiment design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu tiga kelas pada kelas VIII SMP Negeri 44 Bandar Lampung. Sampel penelitian ini terdiri dari 79 siswa, yaitu kelas VIII 3 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII 4 sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes, angket dan dokumentasi. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji statistik MANOVA. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dan pengujian hipotesis yang telah dilakukan dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa: (1) terdapat pengaruh pendekatan scientific dengan metode index card match terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis. (2) terdapat pengaruh pendekatan scientific dengan metode index card match terhadap disposisi matematis. (3) terdapat pengaruh pendekatan scientific dengan metode index card match terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis dan disposisi matematis. Kata kunci : Scientific, Index Card Match, Berpikir Kritis, Disposisi Matematis iv ABSTRACT This research was motivated by the low critical thinking abilities and mathematical disposition of students. Students tend to be passive and less active in asking teachers about unclear material because they think mathematics is a scary and difficult subject to understand. Apart from that, when students are given assignments they are less able to present, complete and conclude answers so they prefer to cheat. These things will result in students' mathematical abilities being weak so that it will be difficult for them to absorb further material. Therefore, there is a need for innovation in determining approaches and methods for the learning process in order to provide a pleasant atmosphere so that students can understand the material being taught. This research aims to determine the effect of the scientific approach using the index card match method on students' critical thinking abilities and mathematical disposition. This research is quantitative research with a quasi�experimental design type of research. The population in this study were three classes in class VIII of SMP Negeri 44 Bandar Lampung. The research sample consisted of 79 students, namely class VIII 3 as the experimental class and class VIII 4 as the control class. The data collection techniques used are tests, questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis used was the MANOVA statistical test. Based on the results of data analysis and hypothesis testing that has been carried out, it can be concluded that: (1) there is an influence of the scientific approach using the index card match method on critical thinking abilities. (2) there is an influence of the scientific approach with the index card match method on mathematical disposition. (3) there is an influence of the scientific approach with the index card match method on critical thinking abilities and mathematical disposition.
