Abstract

ABSTRAK Keberagaman merupakan suatu ketetapan Allah dalam kehidupan didunia. Dilihat dari kondisi sosio-kultural, Agama maupun geografis yang begitu beragam dan luas. Indonesia adalah negara yang terdiri dari berbagai suku bangsa, ras, etnis, agama, bahasa. Dalam perspektif islam sebagaimana dijelaskan dalam Al-Quran sudah menjadi fitrah, manusia diciptakan oleh Allah berbeda. Keberagaman tersebut menjadi suatu keunikan tersendiri yang mencirikan bangsa Indonesia, keberagaman adalah sunnatullah, akan tetapi disatu sisi keberagaman tersebut sering menimbulkan konflik antar kelompok yang memiliki perbedaan satu sama lain. Penelitian ini merumuskan dua rumusan masalah yaitu : ―Bagaimana pemikiran Ahmad Syafii Maarif tentang moderasi islam dan bagaimana relevansinya terhadap pendidikan islam multikultural ?‖ Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah library research atau penelitian kepustakaan. Sumber data berdasarkan sumber data primer (pokok) dan sekunder (penunjang atau pendukung). Sifat penelitian ini berupa deskriptif kualitatif dimana metode yang berusaha menggambarkan dan menginprestasikan objek sesuai apa adanya, data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis dengan teknik analisis (content analysis). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa moderasi beragama yang ditawarkan Ahmad Syafii Maarif yakni agama sebagai landasan kebangkitan bangsa, islam keIndonesiaan, Islam demokratis, dan islam modernitas. Moderasi beragama Ahmad Syafii Maarif secara global dapat dimaknai bahwa belaiu mengatakan agar memberikan tafsir ulang tentang kitab suci seluruh umat beragama, agar mampu disikapi dan dimengerti oleh para penganut nya secara substansi dan esensi. Terdapat relevansi antara moderasi islam persepktif ahmad syafii maarif dengan pendidikan islam multikultural. Relevansi moderasi islam dengan pendidikan islam multicultural sangat kuat kaitannya. Karena dengan keragaman yang ada pada masyarakat terlebih keragaman agama diperlukan pendidikan multikultural dan Moderasi Beragama agar tercipta masyarakat yang damai dan saling menghormati. In the Islamic perspective, as explained in the Koran, it is natural that humans were created by God to be different. This diversity is a unique thing that characterizes the Indonesian nation, diversity is sunnatullah, but on the one hand, this diversity often causes conflict between groups that have differences from each other. With this, there is a need to understand tolerance which can then be implemented in life in a pluralistic society. This research formulates two problem formulations, namely: How does Ahmad Syafii Maarif think about Islamic moderation and how its relevance to multicultural Islamic education. The type of research used in this research is library research or research literature. Data sources are based on primary (main) and secondary (supporting or.) data sources supporter). The nature of this research is descriptive qualitative where the method is attempted describe and interpret objects according to what they are, data obtained later analyzed using analytical techniques (content analysis). Based on the research results, it can be concluded that religious moderation is offered Ahmad Syafii Maarif, namely religion as the basis for national revival, Indonesian Islam, Democratic Islam, and Islamic modernity. Ahmad Syafii Maarif's religious moderation globally It can be interpreted that he said to provide a re-interpretation of the holy books of all religious communities, so that they can be addressed and understood by their adherents in substance and essence. This ends in an increasingly better attitude of tolerance and a deeper sense of its role social life. There is relevance between the Islamic moderation perspective of Ahmad Syafii Maarif with multicultural Islamic education.The relevance of Islamic moderation to Islamic education multiculturalism is very strongly related. Because of the diversity that exists in society, especially Religious diversity requires multicultural education and religious moderation to be created a peaceful and respectful society.
