Abstract

ABSTRAK Poligami dari zaman ke zaman sudah banyak di praktikkan oleh para Nabi, salah satu Nabi yang melakukan poligami ialah Nabi Ibrahim, poligami yang dilakukannya terdapat permasalahan yang kontroversial dalam ranah agama dan budaya. Adapun fokus pada penelitian ini terdapat pada dua kitab suci yaitu Al-Qur‟an dan Alkitab, dimana keduanya mempunyai pandangan yang berbeda dalam menceritakan poligami Nabi Ibrahim lalu alasan apa yang menyebabkan Nabi Ibrahim berpoligami. Penelitian ini memakai pendekatan kualitatif berbasis library research yang bertitik tolak memahami nilai komparatif historis yang mendasari poligami Nabi Ibrahim dalam pemaparan lintas agama. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian mengenai poligami Nabi Ibrahim dilakukan dalam keadaan darurat, jika seorang laki-laki bisa bersikap adil dan ingin melakukan poligami pasti akan terjadi konflik karena sebaik apapun niatnya perasaan istri ingin mendapatkan perhatian penuh dan tidak ingin membaginya. Tetapi jika seorang laki-laki tidak bisa bersikap adil disarankan baginya untuk memilih pernikahan monogami. Dengan demikian poligami Nabi Ibrahim selain mendapatkan ilmu agama ada pula ilmu-ilmu lainnya dan memiliki beberapa persamaan serta perbedaan dalam menceritakan kisahnya. Pesan yang terkandung pada al-Quran mengenai poligami Nabi Ibrahim yaitu boleh dilakukannya poligami tetapi dalam keadaan darurat jika pada Alkitab poligami tidak diperbolehkan karena pernikahan merupakan hal yang sakral. ABSTRACT Polygamy from time to time has been practiced by the Prophets, one of the Prophets who practiced polygamy was Prophet Ibrahim, whose polygamy contained controversial issues in the realm of religion and culture. The focus of this research is on two holy books, namely the Qur'an and the Bible, where both have different views in telling the polygamy of Prophet Ibrahim and then what reasons caused Prophet Ibrahim to be polygamous. This study uses a qualitative approach based on library research which aims to understand the historical comparative value underlying Prophet Ibrahim's polygamy in interfaith exposure. based on the results of research on polygamy Prophet Ibrahim was carried out in an emergency, if a man can be fair and wants to do polygamy, there will definitely be conflict because no matter how good his intentions, his wife's feelings want to get his full attention and don't want to share it. But if a man cannot be fair it is advisable for him to choose a monogamous marriage. Thus the polygamy of Prophet Ibrahim in addition to gaining religious knowledge there are also other sciences and have some similarities and differences in telling the story. The message contained in the Quran regarding the polygamy of Prophet Ibrahim is that polygamy is allowed but in an emergency if in the Bible polygamy is not allowed because marriage is a sacred thing.
