Abstract

ABSTRAK Dalam era digital yang terus berkembang, perpustakaan tradisional menghadapi tantangan untuk beradaptasi dengan perkembangan teknologi. Salah satu solusi yang muncul adalah penerapan aplikasi perpustakaan elektronik atau E-Perpus. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki implementasi dan pemanfaatan teknologi dalam konteks aplikasi E-Perpus. Studi ini melibatkan analisis sistem E-Perpus yang telah diterapkan di berbagai institusi dan perpustakaan salah satunya di instansi lembaga pemerintahan di Dinas Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Provinsi Lampung. Metode penelitian melibatkan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan studi pustaka untuk memahami bagaimana teknologi diterapkan dalam manajemen perpustakaan elektronik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan teknologi pada aplikasi E-Perpus Lampung memberikan sejumlah manfaat signifikan. Pertama, kemudahan aksesibilitas bagi pengguna, yang dapat mengakses koleksi perpustakaan secara daring kapan saja dan di mana saja. Kedua, peningkatan efisiensi manajemen koleksi dan pelayanan perpustakaan melalui otomatisasi proses pengelolaan data dan peminjaman buku. Fitur-fitur yang tersedia pada Aplikasi E�Perpus Lampung tersebut antara lain: Pencarian, Cart, Notifikasi, Banner, Pembaca Terbaik, Kategori, Library, Berita, BookShelf, Donasi, Akun. Pemanfaatan teknologi juga menghadirkan tantangan, seperti kebutuhan akan infrastruktur teknologi yang memadai, keamanan data, dan pelatihan staf perpustakaan dalam pengelolaan sistem E�Perpus. Namun, dengan manajemen yang tepat, tantangan tersebut dapat diatasi untuk memaksimalkan potensi aplikasi E-Perpus. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi dalam pemahaman mendalam tentang implementasi dan manfaat teknologi pada aplikasi E-Perpus. Implikasi dari temuan ini dapat membantu institusi perpustakaan untuk mengoptimalkan pemanfaatan teknologi guna meningkatkan pelayanan dan ketersediaan informasi bagi pengguna. One solution that has emerged is the implementation of an electronic library application or E-Perpus. This research aims to investigate the implementation and use of technology in the context of E-Perpus applications. This study involves analysis of the E-Perpus system which has been implemented in various institutions and libraries, one of which is in government agencies at the Lampung Province Library and Archives Service. The research method involves collecting data through interviews, observations, and literature studies to understand how technology is applied in electronic library management. The research results show that the application of technology in the Lampung E-Perpus application provides a number of significant benefits. First, easy accessibility for users, who can access library collections online anytime and anywhere. Second, increasing the efficiency of collection management and library services through automating data management and book lending processes. The features available on the Lampung E-Perpus Application include: Search, Cart, Notifications, Banners, Best Readers, Categories, Library, News, BookShelf, Donations, Accounts. The use of technology also presents challenges, such as the need for adequate technological infrastructure, data security, and library staff training in managing the E-Library system. However, with proper management, these challenges can be overcome to maximize the potential of E-Library applications. This research contributes to an in-depth understanding of the implementation and benefits of technology in the E-Library application. The implications of these findings can help library institutions to optimize the use of technology to improve services and availability of information for users.
