Abstract

ABSTRAK Berdasarkan hasil pra penelitian pemahaman konsep matematika peserta didik kelas V di SD N 1 Patoman rendah. Peserta didik terlihat kurang aktif dalam proses belajar matematika, peserta didik cenderung hanya mendengar dan mencatat yang disampaikan oleh pendidik dan pada saat pendidik bertanya, peserta didik hanya diam. Peserta didik kurang mengerti sepenuhnya tentang konsep matematika, peserta didik mengalami kesulitan dalam mengerjakan soal-soal yang berbentuk soal cerita. Hal tersebut ditunjukan dengan sebagian besar peserta didik yang mengeluh ketika dihadapkan dengan soal cerita. Selain itu, peserta didik juga kurang cermat dalam membaca dan memahami kalimat dari suatu soal cerita dan peserta didik sulit menentukan konsep matematika atau rumus yang tepat. Selama ini sudah pernah mencoba menggunakan beberapa model pembelajaran, seperti model Picture and Picture, Make a Match, dan selanjutnya memberikan penugasan. Akan tetapi, dengan menggunakan beberapa model pembelajaran tersebut ternyata belum mampu memaksimalkan pemahaman konsep matematika peserta didik. Berdasarkan permasalah diatas peneliti memberikan solusi menggunakan untuk menggunakan model pembelajaran Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP) berbantuan Media Realia terhadap pemahaman konsep matematika peserta didik kelas V di SD N 1 Patoman Pagelaran Pringsewu. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian eksperimen. Jenis penelitian eksperimen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu quasi eksperimen design. Quasi eksperimen design yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Posttest Only Control Group Design. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua kelas yaitu kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Kelas eksperimen dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas V B, dalam kelas eksperimen ini diberikan perlakuan dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP) berbantuan Media Realia. Dan kelas kontrol dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas V iii A, dalam kelas kontrol ini diberikan perlakuan dengan model pembelajaran Think Pair Share nerbantuan media gambar. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes pemahaman konsep matematika berupa soal essai. Sebelum melakukan penelitian, instrument tes diujicobakan terlebih dahulu dan dilakukan uji instrument berupa uji validitas, uji reliabilitas, uji daya beda, dan uji tingkat kesukaran. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan Independen t�test (Uji-t). Berdasarkan pengujian data hasil analisis normalitas dan homogenitas diperoleh bahwa data berdistribusi normal dan homogen. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan Independen t-test (Uji-t) dengan nilai (Sig. (2-tailed)) sebesar 0,002 < α dengan taraf signifikan 5% (α) = 0,05. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa Ho ditolak dan Hi diterima. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari Model Pembelajaran Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP) berbantuan Media Realia terhadap pemahaman konsep matematika peserta didik kelas V di SD N 1 Patoman Pagelaran Pringsewu. Kata Kunci : Model Pembelajaran Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP), Media Realia, Pemahaman Konsep Matematika iv ABSTRACK Based on the results of pre-research, the understanding of mathematics concepts of class V students at SD N 1 Patoman is low. Students appear to be less active in the mathematics learning process, students tend to only listen and note down what is conveyed by the teacher and when the teacher asks questions, students are just silent. Students do not fully understand mathematical concepts, students have difficulty working on questions in the form of story problems. This is shown by the majority of students who complain when faced with story questions. Apart from that, students are also less careful in reading and understanding the sentences of a story problem and students have difficulty determining the correct mathematical concept or formula. So far, I have tried using several learning models, such as the Picture and Picture model, Make a Match, and then giving assignments. However, using several learning models has not been able to maximize students' understanding of mathematical concepts. Based on the problem above, the researcher provides a solution using the Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP) learning model assisted by Media Realia to understand the mathematical concepts of class V students at SD N 1 Patoman Pagelaran Pringsewu. This research uses an experimental type of research. The type of experimental research used in this research is quasi experimental design. The quasi-experimental design used in this research is Posttest Only Control Group Design. This research uses two classes, namely the experimental class and the control class. The experimental class in this research is class V B, in this experimental class treatment is given using the Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP) learning model assisted by Media Realia. And the control class in this research is class V A, in this control class treatment is given with the Think Pair Share learning model with the help of image media. The data collection technique used was a test of understanding mathematical concepts in the form of essay questions. Before conducting research, the test instrument is tried out first and v instrument tests are carried out in the form of validity tests, reliability tests, differential power tests, and difficulty level tests. Hypothesis testing uses an independent t-test (t-test). Based on testing the data from normality and homogeneity analysis, it was found that the data was normally distributed and homogeneous. Hypothesis testing uses an independent t-test (t-test) with a value (Sig. (2-tailed)) of 0.002 < α with a significance level of 5% (α) = 0.05. This shows that Ho is rejected and Hi is accepted. So it can be concluded that there is a significant influence from the Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP) Learning Model assisted by Media Realia on the understanding of mathematics concepts of class V students at SD N 1 Patoman Pagelaran Pringsewu.
