Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat partisipasi politik pemilih pemula dalam pemilihan BPD Desa Rantau Kasai pada tanggal 16 November tahun 2022 dan mengetahui bentuk strategi yang digunakan oleh para kandidat dalam meningkatkan partisipasi politik Masyarakat Desa Rantau Kasai. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori partisipasi politik dan teori strategi. Adapun indikator partisipasi politik yaitu modernesasi, pengaruh struktur kelas sosial, pengaruh komunikasi dan kaum intelektual, konflik antar kelompok politik, dan meluasnya keterlibatan pemerintah dalam urusan sosial. Adapun indikator dari strategi yaitu strategi normatif, strategi strategi ideal dan strategi faktual. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian lapangan (field research) yang bersifat penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Terkait pengumpulan data yang digunakan penelitian ada tiga tahapan yaitu Observasi, Wawancara, dan Dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tingkat partisipasi politik yang dilakukan pemilih pemula dalam pemilihan Badan Permusyawaratan Desa Rantau Kasai tahun 2022 tergolong rendah hal ini ditunjukkan dari data jumlah yang berhak melakukan pemilihan sebanyak 97 orang dan yang menggunakan hak pilih hanya 45 orang artinya ada 52 orang yang tidak menggunakan hak pilih mereka. ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the level of political participation of novice voters in the BPD election in Rantau Kasai Village on November 16, 2022 and determine the form of strategies used by candidates in increasing political participation of the Rantau Kasai Village Community. This research uses political participation theory and strategy theory. The indicators of political participation are modernization, the influence of social class structure, the influence of communication and intellectuals, conflicts between political groups, and widespread government involvement in social affairs. The indicators of the strategy are normative strategies, ideal strategies and factual strategies. This type of research uses field research which is qualitative descriptive research. Regarding the data collection used by research, there are three stages, namely Observation, Interview, and Documentation. The results of this study show that the level of political participation made by novice voters in the 2022 Rantau Kasai Village Consultative Body election is relatively low, this is shown from the data on the number of people who are entitled to vote as many as 97 people and those who use their right to vote are only 45 people, meaning that there are 52 people who do not exercise their right to vote.
