Abstract

ABSTRAK Multiplier effect (efek pengganda) adalah pengaruh yang meluas akibat suatu kegiatan ekonomi yang mempengaruhi kegiatan lain. Keberadaan UIN Raden Intan Lampung memberikan efek bagi masyarakat sekitar baik dalam kategori positif maupun negatif. Bagaimana multiplier effect keberadaan kampus UIN Raden Intan Lampung terhadap aktivitas sosial ekonomi masyarakat sekitar? Dan bagaimana pandangan Ekonomi Islam tentang dampak multiplier effect keberadaan kampus UIN Raden Intan Lampung terhadap aktivitas sosial ekonomi masyarakat sekitar? Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan positivis dengan metode penelitian kualitatif. Peneliti menggunakan sumber data primer dan sekunder dengan teknik pengumpulan data studi kepustakaan, observasi, dan wawancara. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan cara stratification sampling, menggunakan populasi berdasarkan lapangan usaha masyarakat setempat. Fokus penelitian ini adalah efek yang ditimbulkan di bidang sosial dan ekonomi serta pandangan Ekonomi Islam terhadap dampak tersebut. Hasil penelitian menujukkan bahwa keberadaan UIN Raden Intan Lampung memberi efek positif dan efek negatif di bidang ekonomi dan sosial. Efek positif di bidang ekonomi, keberadaan UIN Raden Intan Lampung telah membuka lapangan usaha baru bagi masyarakat, peningkatan pendapatan masyarakat, dan menggerakkan sektor lain untuk tumbuh. Efek positif di bidang sosial berkontribusi dalam mempererat solidaritas antar warga dan mahasiswa pendatang, dan penurunan angka kemiskinan. Sementara efek negatif di bidang ekonomi adalah ketatnya persaingan usaha, dan efek negatif di bidang sosial yaitu penurunan kualitas lingkungan hidup dan perilaku konsumtif masyarakat. Kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat sekitar kampus UIN Raden Intan Lampung inipun telah sesuai dengan teori Ekonomi Islam yaitu Al-Ba’i atau jual beli dan ijarah yaitu sewa menyewa. Kegiatan usaha yang dilakukan tersebut menurut Ekonomi Islam dikenal dengan Prinsip keseimbangan juga diterapkan oleh kampus UIN Raden Intan Lampung yaitu dengan melakukan reboisasi yang bertujuan untuk membuat kampus UIN Raden Intan Lampung menjadi lebih hijau dan bertujuan untuk pencegahan banjir apabila terjadi musim hujan. Kata Kunci: multiplier effect, UIN Raden Intan Lampung, kondisi sosial dan ekonomi. ABSTRACT Multiplier effect is a widespread influence due to an economic activity that affects other activities. The existence of UIN Raden Intan Lampung has an impact on the surrounding community in both positive and negative categories. What is the multiplier effect of the existence of the UIN Raden Intan Lampung campus on the socio�economic activities of the local community? And what is the view of Islamic Economics regarding the multiplier effect of the existence of the UIN Raden Intan Lampung campus on the socio-economic activities of the surrounding community? This research uses a positivist approach with qualitative research methods. Researchers used primary and secondary data sources with data collection techniques: literature studies, observations and interviews. The sampling technique was carried out by means of stratification sampling, using a population based on local community business fields. The focus of this research is the effects that arise in the social and economic fields as well as the Islamic Economics view of these impacts. The results of the research show that the existence of UIN Raden Intan Lampung has had positive and negative effects in the economic and social fields. With a positive effect in the economic sector, the existence of UIN Raden Intan Lampung has opened up new business opportunities for the community, increased people's income, and encouraged other sectors to grow. Positive effects in the social sector contribute to strengthening solidarity between residents and migrant students, and reducing poverty rates. Meanwhile, the negative effect in the economic sector is intense business competition, and the negative effect in the social sector is the decline in the quality of the environment and people's consumptive behavior. The activities carried out by the community around the UIN Raden Intan Lampung campus are in accordance with Islamic Economic theory, namely Al�Ba'i or buying and selling and ijarah, namely renting. According to Islamic Economics, the business activities carried out are known as the principle of balance, which is also applied by the UIN Raden Intan Lampung campus, namely by carrying out reforestation which aims to make the UIN Raden Intan Lampung campus greener and aims to prevent flooding when the rainy season occurs.
