Abstract

ABSTRAK Literasi lingkungan merupakan kemampuan individu dalam memahami kondisi lingkungan sehingga dari pemahaman tersebut seseorang dapat memutuskan tindakan yang tepat dalam mempertahankan, memulihkan serta meningkatkan kondisi dari suatu lingkungan. Tujuan dari literasi lingkungan adalah membentuk sikap sadar untuk menjaga dan mencintai lingkungan. Sehingga terbentuknya literasi lingkungan yang baik sangat diperlukan. Salah satu upaya yang bisa dilakukan untuk membentuk literasi lingkungan adalah melalui program zero waste. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan program zero waste yang sudah diterapkan di sekolah MTs N 1 Lampung Barat dan dampaknya terhadap tingkat literasi lingkungan peserta didik. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian campuran (mixed method), dengan teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi, wawancara, tes soal multiple choice, tes angket/kuesioner, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan program zero waste di MTs N 1 Lampung Barat dilakukan dengan prinsip 5R (Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle dan Rot). Implementasi program zero waste yang sudah diterapkan di MTs N 1 Lampung Barat berdampak terhadap literasi lingkungan peserta didik, dengan pengetahuan lingkungan sebesar 36,6 dalam kategori sedang, keterampilan kognitif sebesar 34,2 dalam kategori sedang, sikap terhadap lingkungan 49,22 dalam kategori tinggi, dan perilaku terhadap lingkungan sebesar 46,86 dalam kategori tinggi. Berdasarkan keempat domain tersebut, diperoleh hasil rata-rata literasi lingkungan peserta didik sebesar 166,88 dalam kategori sedang. The aim of environmental literacy is to form a conscious attitude to protect and love the environment. So the formation of good environmental literacy is very necessary. One effort that can be made to form environmental literacy is through a zero waste program. The aim of this research is to determine the implementation of the zero waste program that has been implemented at the MTs N 1 West Lampung school and its impact on students' environmental literacy. This research is a mixed method research, with data collection techniques used namely observation, interviews, multiple choice test questions, questionnaire tests, and documentation. The research results show that the implementation of the zero waste program at MTs N 1 West Lampung was carried out using the 5R principle (Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Rot). The implementation of the zero waste program which has been implemented at MTs N 1 West Lampung has an impact on students' environmental literacy, with environmental knowledge of 36.6 in the medium category, cognitive skills of 34.2 in the medium category, attitude towards the environment 49.22 in the high category , and behavior towards the environment was 46.86 in the high category.
