Abstract

Kadar DO sungai berkisar 7 mg/l - 8 mg/l, pH air di setiap stasiun berkisar 6,98-7,1. Hasil indikator fisika dan kimia disesuaikan dengan baku mutu air PP No.82 2001, dimana hasil indikator fisika masih sesuai dengan kriteria baku mutu air, indikator kimia untuk pH dan DO menyatakan kondisi sungai masih sesuai dengan baku mutu air. The activities of the surrounding community and industrial waste dumped in the river are thought to be the cause of the pollution. The aim of this research is to determine the diversity of nekton and the level of water pollution in the Way Tahmi Blambangan Umpu River. This research uses three indicators, namely nekton as a biological indicator, physical indicators including brightness, salinity and temperature and chemical indicators including pH and DO. Sampling was carried out at three stations and each station had one point using a purposive sampling method. From the research results, the nekton found came from two classes, namely the Actinopterygii class and the Malacostraca class. The diversity index values obtained ranged from H' 1.57-1.68. The index value shows that animal diversity is still relatively moderate with even uniformity (E-0.85-0.94) and dominance is relatively low (C 0.21-0.25). The results of physical measurements show that station I has a temperature of 32.4°C, station II 28°C, station III 29.8°C with a brightness ranging from 0.28m-0.3m and the salinity content at each station is 0. River DO levels around 7 mg/l - 8 mg/l, the pH of the water at each station ranges from 6.98 to 7.1. The results of the physical and chemical indicators are adjusted to the water quality standards of PP No. 82 2001, where the results of the physical indicators are still in accordance with the standard criteria for water quality, the chemical indicators for pH and DO state that river conditions are still in accordance with water quality standards.
