Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilakukan pada kelas IV SDN 3 Kresnomulyo, Ambarawa Pringsewu yang dilatar belakangi oleh kurangnya kemampuan membaca pemahaman peserta didik pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia yang masih tergolong rendah, hal ini terlihat dari hasil tes soal kemampuan membaca pemahaman yang diberikan oleh peneliti, dimana persentase siswa yang memperoleh nilai diatas kkm sebesar 38% dan siswa yang memperoleh nilai dibawah kkm sebesar 62%. Rumusan masalah pada penelitian ini yaitu adakah pengaruh metode Directed Reading Thinking Activity terhadap kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa di kelas IV di SDN 3 Kresnomulyo. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode Directed Reading Thinking Activity terhadap kemampuan membaca pemahaman sisw kelas IV SDN 3 Kresnomulyo. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian Quasy Experiment. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas IV SDN 3 Kresnomulyo. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV A dan IV B di SDN 3 Kresnomulyo. Teknik Pengambilan Sampel yang digunakan adalah probability sampling dengan teknik sampel jenuh. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas IV A sebagai kelas kontrol dan IV B sebagai kelas eksperimen. Instrumen penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen tes berupa soal pilihan ganda berjumlah 25 soal. Data penelitian dianalisis menggunakan uji prasyarat dan uji hipotesis uji-t (Independent sample t test). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan perhitungan uji t, dengan menggunakan SPSS nilai sig.(2-tailed) adalah 0,013 < 0,05. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima yang berarti bahwa terdapat pengaruh metode Directed Reading Thinking Activity terhadap kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia kelas IV di SDN 3 Kresnomulyo. This research uses the Quasy Experiment type of research. The population in this study were all class IV students at SDN 3 Kresnomulyo. The sample in this study were students in class IV A and IV B at SDN 3 Kresnomulyo. The sampling technique used is probability sampling with a saturated sampling technique. The sample in this study was class IV A as the control class and IV B as the experimental class. This research instrument uses a test instrument in the form of multiple choice questions totaling 25 questions. Research data was analyzed using prerequisite tests and hypothesis testing t-test (Independent sample t test). Based on the research results and t test calculations, using SPSS the sig value (2-tailed) is 0.013 < 0.05. This shows that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means that there is an influence of the Directed Reading Thinking Activity method on students' reading comprehension abilities in class IV Indonesian at SDN 3 Kresnomulyo.
