Abstract

ABSTRAK Teknik pengumpulan data yang penulis gunakan pada penelitian ini adalah: observasi, dan wawancara yang mendalam serta diiringi dengan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: tidak semua guru pembimbing berlatar belakang pendidikan dari jurusan bimbingan konseling sehingga kurang mencerminkan konseling sebagaimana mestinya melainkan pragmatik. Kurang mahirnya dalam mengkolaborasikan teori sebagai akibat munculnya pengalaman kerja tersendiri bagi guru pembimbing baik dianggap sebagai polisi sekolah yang menghakimi sampai kepada rasa berjuang. Guru pembimbing belum memahami teori Client Centered secara teoritis di buku melainkan makna dari teori Client Centered seperti lemah lembut, menerima siswa tanpa syarat. Secara umum guru pembimbing sudah menerapkan teori Client Centered dalam konseling individual. Hambatan yang muncul lebih dikarenakan oleh siswa yang instropet dan gangguan dari luar seperti guru ikut campur, situasi konseling yang kurang kondusif, hingga ruangan konseling yang kurang mendukung. Strategi yang digunakan untuk mengatasi hambatan dengan pendekatan dari luar yakni dengan menunggu kesadaran dari orang diluar guru pembimbing dan siswa bahkan teknik kedip mata dilakukan oleh guru pembimbing dalam mengatasi hambatan ketika dalam konseling. Kerjasama yang diciptakan oleh guru pembimbing dengan guru bidang studi, wali kelas, kepala sekolah dan orang tua sudah berjalan dengan baik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui penerapan teori Client Centered dalam konseling individual oleh guru pembimbing dengan sub fokus penelitian ini adalah: latar belakang pendidikan guru pembimbing, pengalaman kerja, proses rekrutmen guru pembimbing, memahami siswa dan konselor dalam perspektif Client Centered, Peran konselor dalam Client Centered, proses konseling individual, penerapan azas kerahasiaan dalam konseling, tindak lanjut layanan konseling individual, penerapan Client Centered dalam konseling individual, hambatan penerapan Client Centered dalam konseling individual, strategi mengatasi hambatan, kerja sama dengan berbagai pihak. Kata Kunci : Teori Client Centered dan Konseling Individual. iii ABSTRACT Data collection techniques that the authors use in this study are: observation, and in-depth interviews accompanied by documentation. The results of the study show that: not all supervising teachers have an educational background from the counseling guidance department so they do not reflect proper counseling but are pragmatic. Lack of prowess in collaborating theory as a result of the emergence of separate work experience for supervising teachers is considered as a school police that judges to the point of struggling. The supervising teacher does not understand the theory of Client Centered theoretically in the book but rather the meaning of Client Centered theory such as being gentle, accepting students without conditions. In general, supervising teachers have applied the Client Centered theory in individual counseling. Obstacles that arise are more due to students who are introverts and outside disturbances such as teachers interfering, counseling situations that are not conducive, to counseling rooms that are less supportive. The strategy used to overcome obstacles with an external approach is by waiting for awareness from people outside the supervising teacher and students and even the blinking technique is carried out by the supervising teacher in overcoming obstacles when in counseling. The collaboration created by the supervising teacher with subject teachers, homeroom teachers, school principals and parents has been going well. The purpose of this research is to find out the application of Client Centered theory in individual counseling by supervising teachers with the sub-focus of this research are: educational background of supervising teachers, work experience, process of recruiting supervising teachers, understanding students and counselors in a Client Centered perspective, the role of the counselor in the Client Centered, individual counseling process, application of the principle of confidentiality in counseling, follow-up of individual counseling services, application of Client Centered in individual counseling, obstacles to the application of Client Centered in individual counseling, strategies to overcome obstacles, cooperation with various parties.
