Abstract

ABSTRAK Kemampuan penalaran matematis peserta didik jarang sekali menjadi perhatian pendidik. Rendahnya kemampuan penalaran matematis peserta didik disebabkan karena kegiatan pembelajaran yang masih berpusat kepada pendidik serta kurangnya kemandirian belajar peserta didik dalam mempelajari matematika. Akibatnya peserta didik kesulitan dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal matematika. Sehingga dibutuhkan inovasi baru dalam pembelajaran untuk mengembangkan kemampuan penalaran matematis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran terpadu tipe nested terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematis ditinjau dari kemandirian belajar peserta didik. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Quasi Eksperimen. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Rasman Mulya, untuk sampel yang diambil sebanyak 2 kelas yaitu kelas VIII A (kelas Kontrol) dan VIII B (kelas Eksperimen) dengan teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu purposive sampling atau nonprobability. Uji prasyarat yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas. Uji analisis yang digunakan adalah uji analisis variansi (ANOVA) two way. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan uji anova dua jalan dengan sel tak sama, dengan taraf signifikan 5% diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa (1) terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran terpadu tipe nested terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematis (2) terhadap pengaruh kemandirian belajar terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematis peserta didik (3) terdapat interaksi antara model pembelajaran terpadu tipe nested dengan kemandirian belajar terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematis. Kata Kunci : Model Pembelajaran Terpadu Tipe Nested, Kemampuan Penalaran Matematis, Kemandirian Belajar. ABSTRACT Student’s mathematical reasoning abilities are rarely the focus of educators. The low mathematical reasoning abilities of students are caused by learning activities that are still centered on educators and the lack of student learning independence in studying mathematics. As a results, students have difficulty solving mathematics problems. So new innovations are needed in learning to develop mathematical reasoning abilities. This research aims to determine the effect of the nested type of integrated learning model on mathematical reasoning abilities in terms of student’s learning independence. The method used in this research is Quasi Experiment. The population in this study was all student’s in class VIII of Rasman Mulya Middle School, 2 classes were taken as samples, namely class VIII A (control class) and VIII B (experimental class) with a sampling technique, namely purposive or nonprobability sampling. The prerequisitr tests used in this research are the normality test and homogeneity test. The analysis test used is a two way analysis of variance (ANOVA) test. Based on the research results and discussion of the two-way ANOVA test with unequal cells, with a significance level of 5% it was concluded that (1) there is an influence of the nested type of integrated learning model on mathematical reasoning abilities (2) on the influence of the independent learning on student’s mathematical reasoning abilities (3) there is an interaction between the nested type of integrated learning model and independent learning on mathematical reasoning abilities.
