Abstract

ABSTRAK Kemampuan pemahaman konsep merupakan suatu kemampuan peserta didik dalam menerima materi yang telah diberikan oleh pendidik dan dapat mengungkapkannya kembali kedalam bentuk yang lebih mudah untuk dipahami serta mengembangkan bahkan mengklasifikasikan kedalam kehidupan nyata. Penelitian ini dilator belakangi masih rendahnya kemampuan pemahaman konsep IPA pada peserta didiK di MIN 1 Bandar Lampung, sselain itu model pembelajaran yang digunakan kurang efektif atau efesien untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep IPA peserta didik berdasarkan hasil pra penelitian, oleh karna itu peneliti tertarik untuk menerapkan model pembelajaran baru yang belum pernah digunakan oleh pendidik yaitu model pembelajaran Student Facilliator and Explaining (SFAE). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh yang signifikan dan kemampuan pemahaman konsep IPA peserta didik kelas V MIN 1 Bandar Lampung. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan Quasi Experimental dengan desain Posttes-Only Contol Group.Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data berupa tes.Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas V MIN1 Bandar Lampung.Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan non probability sampling. Sampel yang digunakan ialah kelas VA berjumlah 36 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas B berjumlah 34 siswa sebagai kelas control. Hasil penelitian diperoleh dan dapat diterima maka dapt disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran Student Facilliator and Explaining (SFAE) terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep IPA siswa pada materi harmoni dalam ekosistem. Pemahaman konsep IPA siswa menggunakan model pembelajaran Student Facilliator and Explaining (SFAE) lebih baik dibandingkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep IPA siswa menggunakan model pembelajaran Contextual. This research is based on the low ability to understand science concepts among students at MIN 1 Bandar Lampung, besides that the learning model used is less effective or efficient in improving students' ability to understand science concepts based on pre-research results, therefore researchers are interested in applying the model new learning that has never been used by educators, namely learning models Student Facilliator and Explaining (SFAE). This research aims to determine the significant influence and ability to understand science concepts in class students V MIN 1 Bandar Lampung. This type of research uses Quasi Experimental dengan desain Posttes-Only Contol Group.This research uses data collection techniques in the form of tests. The research population was all class students V MIN 1 Bandar Lampung. The sampling technique uses non probability sampling.The sample used was class VA with 36 students as the experimental class and class B with 34 students as the control class. The research results obtained and it can be concluded that there is an influence of the learning model Facilliator and Explaining (SFAE). on students ability to understand science concepts on the topic of harmony in ecosystems. Students understanding of science concepts using learning model Student Facilliator and Explaining (SFAE)better than students' ability to understand science concepts using the learning model Contextual.
