Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat pemahaman konsep matematika peserta didik dengan metode problem based learning kelas IV SDN 1 Rawa Laut Bandar Lampung. Pemahaman konsep adalah salah satu tujuan pembelajaran matematika yang harus dikuasai oleh peserta didik. Indikator pemahaman konsep matematika ada tiga, yaitu pemahaman translasi (penerjemahan), pemahaman intrapolasi (penafsiran), dan pemahaman ekstrapolasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2023/2024. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data tes dan wawancara. Pengumpulan data ini dilakukan dengan think aloud methode. Dimana saat subjek sedang berlangsung mengerjakan tes, peneliti melakukan wawancara dan mendokumentasikannya secara langsung. Data diperoleh langsung dari subjek yang terpilih untuk di tes dan di wawancara. Subjek dipilih berdasarkan hasil belajar matematika kategori tinggi dengan nilai matematika x>75, kategori sedang dengan nilai matematika 60<x≤75, dan kategori rendah dengan nilai matematika x≤60. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat pemahaman konsep matematika berbeda setiap kategori. Peserta didik dengan tingkat pemahaman konsep matematika dengan metode problem based learning kategori tinggi mampu memahami keseluruhan indikator pemahaman konsep matematika mulai dari tingkat translasi (penerjemahan), intrapolasi (penafsiran), sampai tingkat tertinggi yaitu ekstrapolasi dengan baik. Peserta didik dengan tingkat pemahaman konsep matematika dengan metode problem based learning kategori sedang belum mampu memahami keseluruhan indikator pemahaman konsep matematika, karena peserta didik hanya dapat memahami indikator pemahaman konsep translasi (penerjemahan) dan intrapolasi (penafsiran) saja. Peserta didik dengan tingkat pemahaman konsep matematika dengan metode problem based learning kategori rendah hanya mampu memahami indikator pemahaman konsep matematika translasi saja. Kata kunci: Think Aloud Methode, Pemahaman Konsep Matematika, Problem Based Learning. iv ABSTRACT This research aims to determine the level of understanding of students' mathematical concepts using the problem based learning method for class IV SDN 1 Rawa Laut Bandar Lampung. Understanding concepts is one of the goals of mathematics learning that students must master. There are three indicators of understanding mathematical concepts, namely understanding translation (translation), understanding intrapolation (interpretation), and understanding extrapolation. This research was conducted in the odd semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. The type of research used in this research is descriptive qualitative research. This research uses test and interview data collection techniques. This data collection was carried out using the think aloud method. Where while the subject is taking the test, the researcher conducts interviews and documents them directly. Data was obtained directly from subjects selected for testing and interviews. Subjects were selected based on mathematics learning outcomes in the high category with a mathematics score of x>75, in the medium category with a mathematics score of 60<x≤75, and in the low category with a mathematics score of x≤60. The research results show that the level of understanding of mathematical concepts is different for each category. Students with a high level of understanding of mathematical concepts using the problem based learning method are able to understand all indicators of understanding mathematical concepts starting from the level of translation (translation), intrapolation (interpretation), to the highest level, namely extrapolation well. Students with a moderate level of understanding of mathematical concepts using the problem based learning method were not able to understand all the indicators of understanding mathematical concepts, because students could only understand indicators of understanding the concepts of translation (translation) and intrapolation (interpretation). Students with a low level of understanding of mathematical concepts using the problem based learning method were only able to understand indicators of understanding translational mathematical concepts.
