Abstract

ABSTRAK Kemampuan representasi dan koneksi matematika di SMP Negeri 2 Tanjung Sari masih rendah, siswa masih menganggap konsep dalam matematika itu terpisah dan tidak ada kaitannya dengan konsep yang lain sehingga siswa merasa matematika kurang bermakna atau dianggap tidak terlalu berguna di kehidupan sehari-hari, siswa masih merasa malu, takut dan kurang percaya diri saat mempresentasikan, mengajukan pertanyaan dan berpendapat, hal ini disebabkan karena guru yang masih mendominasi, atau sebagai pusat pengetahuan, sehingga siswa menjadi kurang aktif. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan representasi dan koneksi matematis siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran Tutor Sebaya dengan media Wondershare Filmora, pembelajaran Tutor Sebaya, dan pembelajaran Direct Instruction. Pendekatan penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif, jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu penelitian eksperimen dengan metode Quashi Eksperiment Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Tanjung Sari Lampung Selatan. Teknik pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan probability sampling yaitu dengan cluster random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini berupa tes uraian (essay). Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu dengan uji Multivariate Analysis Variance (MANOVA). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan perhitungan, dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa terdapat perbedaan kemampuan representasi dan koneksi matematis siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran Tutor Sebaya dengan media Wondershare Filmora, pembelajaran Tutor Sebaya, dan pembelajaran Direct Instruction. Kata Kunci: Tutor Sebaya, Wondershare Filmora, Representasi Matematis, Koneksi Matematis ii ABSTRACT The ability to represent and connect mathematics at SMP Negeri 2 Tanjung Sari is still low, students still consider concepts in mathematics to be separate and have nothing to do with other concepts so that students feel mathematics is less meaningful or considered not very useful in everyday life, students still feel embarrassed, afraid and lack confidence when presenting, asking questions and opinions, This is because teachers still dominate, or as knowledge centers, so students become less active. The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in the representation ability and mathematical connections of students who participated in Peer Tutor learning with Wondershare Filmora media, Peer Tutor learning, and Direct Instruction learning. This research approach uses quantitative research, the type of research used is experimental research with the Quashi Experimental Design method. The population in this study is grade VIII SMP Negeri 2 Tanjung Sari South Lampung. The sampling technique in this study uses probability sampling, namely by cluster random sampling. The data collection technique in this study is in the form of an essay test. The data analysis used is by the Multivariate Analysis Variance (MANOVA) test. Based on the results of research and calculations, it can be concluded that there are differences in the representation ability and mathematical connections of students who follow Peer Tutor learning with Wondershare Filmora media, Peer Tutor learning, and Direct Instruction learning.
